If Barcelona won't part with Gonzales, as reported, does that mean Neves will finish up moving to another Premier side.
With Traore looking on course to follow Jota and do just that, will the prospect of playing against three former fans favourite be too much to bear?

There’s a strong possibility that could happen Longmynd with Man United the most likely place. There’s lots of talk about Arsenal but they seem to have other targets.
I don’t think the Barcelona situation is closed and if they offered Nico Gonzalez for a season along with say 45m euros then might that work for the club to bring in their targets? Also where are we going with the Donck, will we move him on and go for a brand new midfield group?

I'm actually really surprised Man City haven't been linked with Neves at any point in the last few weeks. Even with all the lazy journalism and click bait we see. They are supposedly looking to replace Fernandinho and Neves has great stats in the Premier League to play that role. He can also play the style of football Man City play and they can afford him and guarantee him Champions League football and trophies.

I actually hope he doesn't go to Barcelona as I've heard too many stories in recent years of them being late paying transfer fees and in some cases not paying them at all.

{Ed002's Note - Manchester City have identified other options to replace Fernandinho and are actively pushing for one of them.}

Hope you're right NES. For me Neves going abroad softens the blow of him leaving somewhat.
I'm not sure Barcelona can muster £45M, it'll take some time before they recover from the ludicrous spending of the previous administration. Plus if recent reports are to be believed they have said no to selling Gonzales so it would have to be a serious offer to change that, even if that's just a negotiating ploy

He may stay yet! I will keep my fingers crossed, 70m is a big price, and not too many can afford that, Neves wants Champions league, so It s small pool, him and Pinhalia would be a great midfield.

Further rumour that Juventus are trying to sell McKennie to Spurs to finance a bid for the Donck.
