Last night just goes to show how far behind the top teams we are and will be for a long time.
City destroyed us with passing and movement the like of which we can only dream of.When you can bring the array of sub's into the game city can, always going to be a uphill task.
Harsh lessons for fosun as well as us fan's last night.

Agree0 Disagree0

Note to Bruno, Chiquinho is a WINGER! Any talk of him as a wing back is futile. Like Adama he cannot defend. He has talent enough but in a 4 2 4 set up to show his best.

If we are transition to a back 4, then the entire first team back line will need replacing with the exception of Kilman. Jonny, Semedo and RAN are wing backs, there's only Jonny I'd potentially trust as a traditional full back. Coady could replace Moutinho in midfield. I've always been a huge Boly fan but it looks like time and injuries have caught up with him.

Chiquino was a bright spark though and £3m for him looks great business.

I didn't see the game last night. I couldn't get the time off work but a few people who did go or watched the game have said that we played OK but Man City were on another level. Others have said that we were poor.

Latest rumours are that we are looking to sign Nico Gonzalez for £20m who is a Central midfielder and has established himself in the Barcelona midfield under Xavi. I don't know too much about him other than he is 20 years old and supposedly very good.

I think this summer will be seismic for the club. It is clear that some players such as Saiss will be moving on and Bruno will be bringing in a fair few players. He has always said he prefers 442 and I think Chiquinho, Neto and Podence give him good cover on the wings.

We all have our opinions of who should stay, who should go and who should come in but I genuinely feel that Fosun will have taken stock of the goods and bads from this season and will back Lage.

In fairness Big the top teams in this league has become a top two and frankly EVERY other team in this league is light years off them! Including United who have spent more than the majority of teams outside of the top four combined! I'm not saying that helps us but I am saying that this isn't just a Wolves issue! Ragnick had it spot on, look what those two teams have done to United this year. Its not as simple as just saying Fosun need to chuck more money at the problem, of course money will help but ONLY if its spent well! Liverpool spent money for a decade without ever getting near the top of the league, what's got them there now is a solid transfer policy so how they make then invest their money. So yes we need change and we need to learn but what we don't need is arbitrary spending on random players, what we need is a more strategic and long term approach to our general transfer policy. Let's see what the summer brings ?

We played well at times, Jas. Donk's goal was superbly put together from a break. If De Bruyne hadn't been in such unbelievable form, we might have had a chance at 1-1. On last night's showing, any team other than Liverpool might have folded against Citeh.

I agree entirely bully,it is a top two, but the other 4 of the supposed big 6 will be spending big aswell.
Whatever money we spend in the summer has got to be spent well, our defence is in need of a overhaul, especially if we're to go to 4 at the back, which in turn will mean we'll need a midfielder who can break up play enabling Neves,if he stays, to ping the ball about.
Also, it looks like a striker is also needed, maybe 2, because we can't go on being one of the lowest scoring team's and keep staying away from the relegation place's.
As you said bully, interesting summer ahead.
