A little reflection. Wolves have the 5th wealthiest owners and sit roughly 10th in the Premier League in terms of the clubs valuation.
The latter presumably based on the stadium, squad value, income versus expenditure and sponsorship deals, etc.
The ground is usually full for home matches and away tickets quickly sold out.
6 years ago we were a midtable Championship side worth a tenth of that. Today we are consistently (bar 1 season) a top half Premier League side that has already flirted with European competition, profitable and moving towards what hopefully will be a significant team strengthening as FFP relaxes this summer. Our owners have just effectively written off a £100M debt owed to them by the club.
I know that performances have dropped off recently, for whatever reason and hopes of another European campaign have all but evaporated.
However, other clubs have spent more, much more in fact, but their performances have been disappointing to say the least Everton (disaster), Villa and to a lesser degree Leicester spring to mind. The reason I mention these three is because they all appear just above us on the club valuation list, probably because of the cost (therefore value) of their underperforming squads.
We all have grievances, for me it's the lack of development of the ground, for others it's the lack of squad depth and/or quality at times.
Yes, we must do better and fewer long term injuries would be nice, but in truth, shouldn't we all be feeling a degree of contentment about our situation and just a tad excited about the prospect of Wolves pushing on to the next level? If Big Jeff is right, we could well be top 6 next year after falling short this. Is that an indication that Wolves are going to splash the cash a bit?
My spec's aren't rose coloured, far from it and we all knew that there would be bumps in the road but it seems to me that the club is still on track to achieve it's stated objectives.
Maybe there are more reasons to be positive about the future than current form implies.

I have high spirits for us under Lage and fosun in the coming seasons.
We have had some unfortunate bad luck last 2 seasons injuries ffp restrictions the football global market change resulting from the pandemic.
But our bad luck hasn't got us anywhere near relegation threatened.
With additions in the summer along with Neto hopefully back to his best, jonny a full injury free season we have a very good case to go that extra step.

That's the point Phil, we have had a number of difficult situations to cope with, long term injuries to key players, a manager change and the dreaded FFP tying hands to some degree.
Irrespective of all that we are still up there in the league and if we hang onto 8th or thereabouts we've done OK imo.
