If Barcelona decide they don't want to or can't afford to buy Traore but would swap him for Trincao, who would we want.
Traore back as an impact sub or keep Trincao in the hope he develops next year.
Or, return Trincao and have Traore back then sell him on for a reduced fee.
Any thoughts?

I would have Traore back and use him as a bouncer to stop the training ground bust ups Longmynd.

Traore. As much as he at times seems disinterested, he has a fear factor when running at defenders which he's prepared to do. Trincao has no stomach for the physicality of the Prem. He may turn out to be a good player but it will be in Spain where he will get more time on the ball.

02 May 2022 21:06:59
Traore his wages are probably lower!

02 May 2022 21:31:47
Isn't the fear factor in his own head because he doesn't know what he's going to do when he gets to the bye line LOL

02 May 2022 21:52:29
His wages are definitely lower Arddunby, about £45K per week verses Trincao's £135K per week.
So far, it's looking like 2:1 in favour of Traore, as E mentioned, not always for footballing reasons. ?

03 May 2022 07:35:38
Traore for me is the lesser of 2 evils. Bring him back and offer him individual bonuses based on his final ball. Money is the only motivator in the modern game.

03 May 2022 07:40:32
Sell Traore and just take the hit to free up space for better player for us.
Trincao imo we woukd be better investing in more orthodox attacker who scores goals someone with the ability and stats like Jota.
We have wingers on the books so we are covered in that area.
Other areas of the team imo are of prime importance striker midfielder (s)

Can't believe they pay Trincao more than Neves and Neto, not in the same class as either of them.

03 May 2022 10:32:07
Get rid of both.

Change the formation and bring in players to suit the new shape. We need more attack minded players who can register more than 3 goals a season each.

03 May 2022 10:48:03
Thanks all for your thoughts. Personally, I think we should sell Traore, the problem being most of us know he has the odd flash of inspiration and would hate one of those to be against us.
I think there is a brilliant footballer in Trincao but as some have commented maybe not in the more physical environment of the Prem. For me, continuously cutting inside using your outstep is one of the prime reasons he gets robbed in midfield so often. By doing that he leaves the ball exposed for easy interception, I'm surprised his coaches have not dealt with that.
Still neither are the only fish in the sea so let's hope those in a position to make decisions on such matters, make the right ones.

Whether a footballer has the quality or not it's what they do in a wolves shirt that is only relevant.
Traore and trincao haven't scored or created in a wolves shirt the required amount to push us on.
It's so simple and clear to me and always has been.

03 May 2022 14:08:19
You could add Silva to that list Phil. Over 50 games (20+ as sub) and 4 goals one from the penalty spot.

03 May 2022 14:55:25
They are the stats but Silva isn't going anywhere so we're stuck with him.
Being one of the best upcoming in Portugal youth why we bought him we have to hope at some point he comes of age.

Really,?,his daughter was in the film wish you were here 1987,
Quick quiz question. Who's mother was said to have invented tipex?

04 May 2022 00:20:42
I'm with Phil here. Get what we can for Adama and take that money elsewhere. I don't think we have a big enough squad to wait on Trincao and I don't want us paying the likely £100-140k a week while we find out of he's good enough to be honest. Plenty more options out there so let's see what there is.
On a side note Phil bit of interesting Star Wars trivia for ya (although I get that most Star Wars fans know this:). Harrison Ford was just a carpenter on the set! George Lucas wasn't happy with his Solo options so got Ford to read a script on the off chance cause he thought he looked like a space cowboy! ? Different times indeed, I doubt you'd see that happen in Hollywood much these days I'm afraid ?
