With the possible exception of Fernandez, are any of Utd current squad better than what we already possess?
I'd say on this season's showing SA is a upgrade on de gea, our defence and midfield are also better and Ronaldo is showing signs of being slightly over the hill.

Marcus Rashford Phil we desperately need a goal scorer, as well as Bruno Fernandes, possibly tempted by the Portugese connection but unlikely! We can bur dream! Rashfords transfer value must be well down. Only problem is those are the two that probably every top flight club is going to be after, only affordable if Neves is part of the deal which is another downside, so we would lose half of a potential terrific midfield combination! If the new boss is prepared to let go of either.
Ronaldo on a free with a one year contract? Discuss!
Can't see many others that would be worth the sort of money United would expect to be frank.

As I thought bigcheese/Arddunby I too can't see any of the reported man utd players to be let go any good for us bar Rashford.But see clearly it maybe a risk too far with what the transfer fee would gavecto be
I haven't seen that fernandes is one but have Rashford and vaguely Ronaldo.
If we get Ronaldo it would be brilliant for me but as you say one can dream.

I cannot see Rashford / Fernandez coming near us (a) Wage demands (b) They'd want CL or EL football. Though signing those would be a great coup! I was thinking Telles, but we have LB covered. Then Phil Jones, but he's been crooked with injuries over the past number of seasons. I'd imagine there is the same standard of players available across Europe etc but much cheaper (look at Leicester's recruitment process)
This summer transfer window will be massive if we're to "get to the next level"

I would think you can forget Man Utd players Phil, wages alone would kill that, especially for some of the names mentioned. Apart from Fernandez would we actually want any of them? Wolves more likely to be shopping in Portugal, Mexico and Brazil imo.

I might get shot down here but Linguard a pretty decent midfielder to provide that link between defence and attack and he won't cost too much either.

Slab head has been found out this season, his lack of pace and positioning is championship level, Leicester stolen £80m there, Kilman is a much better defender.

Phil. Lingard but money would be the problem I think. As for the rest of them Bruno might be interested in some of their younger players that haven't made it yet but then again they get big money as well. So elsewhere for us I think mate, better value.

Ken I agree wages too high even for bench players let alone Rashford but we don't usually sign young players from English clubs Hoever was the only one I can think of in the Fosun era oh and Adama
