Sup fellas, firstly well done at the weekend and this season doing very well in the league and local bragging rights firmly with you this year.
Probably should of scored more given your chances and our defence having a mare, sucks to lose to an own goal I don't know what young was thinking, thought your goal keeper was top notch he made some fine saves. seen some of you debating the penalty, I thought it was 1 of those where it was open to interpretation and could of gone either way, Watkins done what he's supposed to do and get the touch on the ball, different refs could give it either way imo, bigger picture I think if all podence's play acting deserved those frees then you can't say to much about what happened with the penalty shout, all in all the better team won and we didn't deserve anything from the game.
Thought you would struggle this year after losing nuno but I guess it's Nuno who? at this point an lage really has found his feet and done a stellar job this year, best of luck in the hunt for Europe ?

Whackattack - Thanks for your comments, many Wolves fans were unsure following Nuno's sacking as well. However, Bruno Lage has lived up to his followers predictions and delivered, but with a few bumps in the road, as expected.
From what I can see Villa have a decent midfield/attack but are let down by their defence. They're too slow to react and just can't cope when playing against pace. Sort that out and Villa could do much better. Martinez is an excellent keeper without whom Villa's season would have been worse imo.
Many would say a lot of Wolves wins/draws were down to Sa but even though he has made some excellent saves his job is made easier by having an organised defence in front of him.
Still, let's see how things look at the end of the season.

Cheers Whackattack. I see some Villa fans are questioning Gerrard, they should be patient, I think Gerrard will give you a few good years before Liverpool beckons. At the moment he does not have the players to match his ambition.

I got ya Phil, yea it did cause abit of a doubt, but we're back on it and have every chance. No disrespect to any other players, but Boly Jonny Marcel have got the heads and impetus to perhaps push us on. Neves is obviously going to be the missing link but fabio must start knocking em in soon. Scoring is still a frustration for us.

On wolves/villa theme what do you think of us signing Danny ings next season?
I thought high possibility we were fortunate that ings missed the game as I rate him highly a a finisher.
But saying that he did miss a very good opportunity agaisnt us at villa Park earlier this season but overall I think he is an excellent player.

Danny Ings is class, Phil. Yes, fortunate he didn't play against us, but also fortuitous for Villa that Jimenez didn't play for us! Young Silva had great chances but didn't put them away. With those chances Jimenez could have scored a couple.

Have to agree about Podence, hate to see players who go down at the slightest contact. Can't wait to see Neto fully fit, would love to see a front three of Silva, Jiminez and Neto.
