Marcal has done ok, especially considering how low the transfer fee was. If he leaves though it should open up more opportunities for Ryan Giles and Toti Gomes next season, as Marcal eiher played as a LWB or a LCB.
I think we're well stocked in the wing back position going into next season. Probably need 2 more players as things stand to make more progress, a lot may depend on whether Neves goes in the summer or not.

Neves has to stay, the team has to be built around him and Neto in my opinion.
Other than another striker and midfielder I think we are good for next season.

If Neves leaves the transfer money would be reinvested into the squad. However going on the clubs transfer policy I think it would be more likely that 3 younger players with a current average value of about £15 million would come in rather than a £40 million replacement. The view being those players would improve and hopefully increase in value.
Personally I hope Neves stays and he seems to be happy at Wolves. I would like to think he should be valued more in the £80 million price range looking at his ability and what other players have gone for, but his contract length and what clubs are willing to pay will make a difference. If he does move on I'd be disappointed, but after 5 good seasons with us I can make my peace with him wanting a new challenge if the opportunity arises.

I've watched Paulinha many times and for me he is basically a rich man's Dendoncker and not really fit to lace Neves's boots whatever the Portugal manager may think. Given that we were stung with the values put on Semedo and Silva (despite the improvements we have seen I think that it is likely that any Neves money (hopefully none and he stays) will be spent on 2/3 players.
