I keep saying it gents our backroom is a shadow of what it was! Traore going cheap cause we never replaced Thelwell. Then this will be about the third time we've taken a minor injury and turned it into months on the bench through poor medical management, like I said before that is not replacing Phil Hayward. We've got a championship back room and I'm afraid it shows in its own ways (like this Hwang injury and the ridicolous £30m option we have on Trincao)! ?

To be fair, a hamstring injury was always going to keep him out for 4-6 weeks which was always likely to take us to February anyway.

I get your point Statto but injuries have moved on a fair bit and it's rarely that simple. If it's a minor hamstring tweak then a bit of sports science can often limit the time out. The point is still valid that he should never have been left on, he clearly couldn't run so at that point all he could do is make it worse! The stats speak for themselves our injury record has been markedly worse since we let Hayward go!

I totally agree that he should not have been allowed to continue by the medics when he first felt it go. I don't disagree with the points about the medical team but given the nature of hamstring injuries, it didn't surprise me at all that he was going to be out until February. They aren't injuries that can (or should) be rushed.

Not sure the reason whang stayed on whether he was asked to stay on or if he said to the medical man I'm alright to carry on.
I assume he was asked to stay on as Wombourneron you must of heard or read that he was.
I do remember when whang went off he had as I can only see was his translater coming on and walking off with him. (who else could it be a youngish Korean woman the person I saw as his translater)
