RIP Astro (UB40)
Now a legend.
When a young kid my mom and dad had a black poodle I wanted to call him Astro but mom said no his name is Bertie.
When lost my mom I bought my car which is black and called my car Bertie so my mom would know I'm thinking of her everyday.

I grew up around the corner from UB40 in Moseley, Balsall Heath and Kings Heath area of Birmingham. Ali Campbell and AstroTurf used to be customers at my family video shop. RIP Astro.

Jas I lived in Balsall Heath until I was 7 then Kings Heath and Earlswood. when I lived in Kings Heath I worked for Granada TV and I installed a video and tv for Norman Hassan who lived on the Hawksley estate Kings Norton, 1980/81 I think.

My bluenose work colleague he 63 years old he told me he was into music in the 70's and used to go to the rock bands gigs and told me he saw slade play somewhere in Birmingham and slade was the loudest band he ever saw.
