Why’s Nuno getting so much bad press for his style of football? We played some great football for three years, two seventh place finishes, qualified for a European competition and even got to see the new Wembley, new to us anyway. Last season after ten games we had seventeen points, had sold Jota and we all know what happened in that tenth game, he didn’t get the players needed in January and played twenty eight games without a recognised Premiership striker, basically forced to shut up shop and still finished comfortably mid table in the best league in the World, After leaving Wolves unexpectedly, took on a job no other manager would touch, finds himself faced with arguably the best striker in the Country who has to be picked in the team but really really doesn’t want to be there, is a disruptive influence and refuses to perform. He’s better off, in more ways than one after leaving Spurs and some Club will get a great manager and a really genuine man, given the right players at the right Club the football World might just get to see what Nuno’s “Style of football” really is, just hope we don’t have to play against him very often, he even got the better of us twice with his last Club playing his style of football.

Nuno is undoubtedly a nice guy but he had too many favourites and fell out with others even refusing to play the current best English centre half and goal scorer Max Kilman.

No Wolves fan will have a bad word to say about Nuno. He came here and transformed us and brought us some of the most memorable moments in recent history. Last season was a strange one. I truly believe that the Molineux crowd is the 12th man and without the fans, we struggled whereas teams like Villa and West Ham played better as their fans are known to turn on the team very quickly during games BUT the fact of the matter is that at points during the season, Nuno looked bereft of ideas and no plan B was evident. Fosun made the decision to change which at the time shocked most fans but appears now, in hindsight to be a good move.

In relation to Nuno and Spurs, I think the main difference is that when Nuno pitched up here, he was allowed to bring his entire trusted backroom staff whereas as Spurs, he was only allowed 4 members and had to work alongside some of the existing coaches already there.

I feel quite sorry for Nuno but it is somewhat self inflicted and IMO calls his judgement into question. Why on earth did he take the job when he knew he was about 5th choice. He must have known that if things went badly Levy would be on his case very fast. He would be the scapegoat leaving Levy smedlling of roses with the appointment of his successor - Conte - who was always first choice. The £14m it costs Spurs in compensation is only one middle of the road transfer failure after all.

14 million quid for 17 games ain't a bad wage if you can get it some mangers fit a club like a glove and some don't IMO those spurs players on 1000000 plus a week should look at them selves under conte let's see how many of them get shipped on

It’s right Nuno doesn’t deserve what’s happened to him il never forget he gave me my best years as a wolves fan and we were attacking a lot at times under him I wish him all the best and hope he does go on to manage a big club with money to spend to match his ambition

Odd that they picked Conte - top manager that he is - as he plays exactly the same way as Nuno 3 at the back WBs 2 def mid and 3 forwards.
Son and Kane if they can be bothered are a superb 2 ( add Moura or almost any one else and the 3 is sorted) Hjoberg (sp) plus one is your two and Regullion is fine at LWB. They must have 3CBs a competent goalie, (Lloris) and a RWB so all seems fine for upper mid/possible Europa challenger.
But like Wolves last year without your main man in the 3 Jimenez for us and Kane for them it is hard and Kane just wouldn't /couldnt play for Nuno - will he for Conte.
If he won't the outcome will be the same as Spurs aren't great and maybe Levy knows it and sees that they must play the Nuno way. He recognises that if they try to play a differnt way will be cut to ribbons but he daren't admit this to the fans and is pretending that Conte will bring a more expansive game than Nuno.
Even with great players at Chelsea Conte's team was based on defence with Alonso and Moses the key attacking threats (alongside of course the genius that was Hazard before he moved to Madrid and got fat! )
V odd but grateful they didn't come after Lage as he is starting to look pretty impressive for Wolves - with Neto and Otto to come back if we pick up a strong CB (or two) and another CM to share the load with our existing 3 in Jan we could be a real force again this season showing just how important and good Jimenenz is!
