Well that was a weekend to remember, Villa proving they are better than even Man City. at emptying their ground. Sorry to all the sensible Villa fans but that was quick, probably a Premier League record.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sure was mate.
Another tough away game infront of another big home crowd at Elland Road.
We are along with Chelsea the inform premier league team going on last 5 matches won 4 lost 1.
Arsenal win agaisnt Palace tonight they will be the outright form team on last 5 matches won 4 drawn 1.

Even though our wins wasn't through fluid attacking football we got the results.

On my phone on premier league fixtures and table the league table shows the last 5 games win draw or lose.

Ed001 Mo Salah what a pass with the outside of his left peg inch perfect for Mane goal and another quality pure quality quick feet and goal.
Good to see Bobby score a hatrick too.

{Ed001's Note - it was a great day to be a Liverpool fan to be fair. It was a top class all round performance, but Salah still made everyone else look average!}

Interesting stats Phil, I wonder if we're going on a long winning run that Lage has got form for.
It's results that matter and a decent winning run right now would do nicely.
Big away crowds with the usual vocal Wolves support seem to spur us on, so fingers crossed for this weekend.

Whilst remaining totally positive I suspect Leeds will be a very tough game. Mind you who knows with our lads sometimes they make the impossible look attainable! Still quite high after the amazing comeback win tbh. Look out Leeds if we are in the mood!

Football as it is a win agaisnt Leeds the feel good continues a lose at Leeds dragging myself around the floor deflated lol its what's it all about.
Arsenal 2 apiece agaisnt Palace we 10th after this last weekends round of matches Alrighty?.

19 Oct 2021 09:32:30
Take nothing for granted, Leeds are going to be a tough nut to crack. If we can perform like we did earlier on then we should take it, but, as ever, who knows which wolves will turn up. I'm full of confidence we can get another 3 points but every game seems to be a new experience.

19 Oct 2021 10:14:14
No easy games, yes Leeds will be tough despite their current low position and it looks like we may be back to the old rollercoaster rides that we all used to experience not just on a seasonal basis but match to match, frustrating as it was!

On radio this morning they were discussing Arsenal after last night's game and then giving their verdict on other clubs so far this season. Arsenal, Villa, Leeds, Palace, Leicester, Brentford and Brighton are all doing well, whereas Wolves are underperforming and form suggests a relegation battle. Then another expert pointed out that we were actually higher in the table than all of the teams mentioned bar Brighton and Brentford.

And no it wasn't Gabby talking his usual Anti Wolves nonsense.

19 Oct 2021 16:54:49
Has since when have "experts" ever spouted anything but tripe that the average fan couldn't do better! Except maybe the few neanderthals that cause and give football fans a bad name!

19 Oct 2021 19:08:24
As Phil pointed out earlier Jas Wolves are the joint (with Chelsea) top form team in the Prem based on the last 5 games. Who was it, let's hope he feels suitably embarrassed?
You do have to wonder who employs these clowns and why?

19 Oct 2021 20:45:03
Apologies Jas my reply autocorrected to say Has damn the thing it was meant for you! Sorry about that.

19 Oct 2021 22:22:59
Other than first season back in premier league under Nuno where we were given credit for good performances and results against the top teams we do seem to be largely ignored or under-estimated by the big name pundits - not necessarily a bad thing to go under the radar a little though as long as players we try to sign (and their agents) notice the potential of the club.

19 Oct 2021 22:23:34
Just heard Gabby spouting off about how good are and how they'll be pushing for top 6 this season whilst we were lucky and will be facing a relegation battle.

Ken68, no need to apologise.

20 Oct 2021 06:49:34
Gabby is a tool I switch talk sport off when he’s on he needs to take his villa rose tinted glasses off he’s so biased he once said Grealish is better than Gascoigne.
I just hope wolves make him eat his words this year.

20 Oct 2021 08:28:22
We stay under the radar go quietly and confidently about our business with the majority of fans staying humble and honest about our prospects is what we are imo.

Long may our winning streak continue.

I remember 2 league Cup finals and got no praise and also reaching a final of importance against spurs when gary newbon said it was a 2nd rate trophy but couldn't shut him up when vile won the league Cup. As for that gabby bloke I just turn him off and laugh.

20 Oct 2021 11:31:38
Just to add to the fun, Agbonlahor mentioned Neves's 'wayward free kick' on Football Insider that only went in due to a deflection. That was probably on target but would have been saved. No mention of McGinn's deflected goal that would definitely have been saved by Sa if not for it hitting Neves.

First of all Villadaz gets huge credit on here for his generous comments-not sure I would have the same generosity if the roles were reversed!
Secondly, it remains to be seen in the long term if the results at the moment are papering over the cracks with reference to the actual play and form. The spirit and attitude is there, but will the lack of quality have ultimate consequences?
Finally a bit of advice to those listening and watching for praise regarding our club. Don't waste your energy. Wolves have been reviled, hated, and disregarded nationally since the early 1960's. Anyone who watched Match of the Day last Saturday with the disgusting analysis will know where I am coming from. I am guessing a lot of the ill educated analysis on the radio is Talksport? I stopped listening to that a long time ago. Talentless presenters, talentless ex footballers and joke journalists in my view.

SQ, I don't know your generation but I can tell you that I have never encountered hate towards wolves, in fact we have always been regarded as a giant after our 50s exploits. People around my area wanted us to beat all of Spurs, City and Forest finals, even now when I'm out in my ww clobber I always get a thumbs up or positive comment. I have to admit I think the Charisma of Nuno and our rapid success took some by surprise. But the ignorance on TV and press is really because they're selling to the urban 'big 6' because that's where the money is. As I say maybe it's a generational thing, or location, or that the majority of 'not really football fans' wear man u, Chelsea, arsenal, Liverpool spurs or man city shirts. Whatever they see us as the old relative who's past it. Fosuns and now peak6 ambition may see the tide change in coming seasons.

20 Oct 2021 13:42:24
Funnily enough Abbey I tend to have similar experiences. For the first couple of years since our promotion we seemed to be everyone's 2nd favourite team because we were beating the so called 'big six'.
More recently, I walked through Schiphol airport with my black training top on under my open jacket and one of the staff spotted the Wolves logo. It took me 10 minutes to get away. Love it.

20 Oct 2021 13:47:47
Good to see you back posting SQ mate.

20 Oct 2021 14:58:55
Cheers Rated-hope you are well.

20 Oct 2021 15:45:04
I agree about papering over the cracks to a certain extent sq, I don't think Saiss is good enough defensively but occasionally pop's up with a crucial goal, I can't understand why Boly hasn't been bought back into the team yet, as in my opinion he is our best defender at the club.
Lage obviously see's something the great unwashed does not.
