I was thinking of how good Alex Rae was for us many seasons ago. He's exactly what we need in the middle of the park.

Smacked in the play off semi winner at reading, these players, abit like marcel, go about their game give so much but don't get remembered has well.

In 2003-4 he, Colin Cameron and Paul Ince almost carried a pretty weak team to survival. Probably the oldest central mid trio ever to play in the Prem but was def a diamond for us and a player of his ilk - v solid defensively but good goal scorer - would be good now!
