There's no difference from last season on the first half showing, Traore looks disinterested, Neves too deep.
A defender is a must in this window above anything else for me.

Watford outstanding. Brentford outstanding. Find three teams weaker than Wolves at the end of the season? There is a total lack of ruthlessness up front-chances in the second half missed. The personnel on the bench is so lightweight and pathetic it's a disgrace. Sell Neves or Traore and get some quality in or resign to the Championship.

SQ you're unbelievable. You've been saying we'd be relegated from the moment the transfer window shut he first season back in the Premier League.

So Villa and Arsenal lose to a promoted team - and the promoted teams are outstanding. Wolves lose by fine margins to the FA cup holders and we're getting relegated. It's completely lacking in any logic.

What about Crystal Palace who have lost their experienced manager and a bunch of players they haven't replaced? Or Southampton who have lost a solid centre back and their main goal threat and not replaced them?

From what I see, there is plenty to work with to stay in the Premier League and that should be satisfactory this season.

Be quiet SQ,

I sometimes have to question myself why I look at this forum.
Thought we played ok in first half, Traore should of scored, that was the only difference, Leicester are a good side, and we matched them for a lot of game, some on here need to get a grip and take a chill pill.

SQ has been predicting relegation for years. Maybe he wants it.

Losing 1-0 away to Leicester is no disgrace. We have a lot to sort with a new manager, new players, and long term injuries to return and to blend in. Could be a season of two halves. But to talk about relegation is bizarre on the basis of this game, I can only assume it is a wind up, but quite boring now.

One game in and all the negative posters are out having a field day. Rather than let this wind me up, I'm simply going to step back and observe this forum from now on. Life's too short to let the pessimists grind you down. SQ, Oxley and E from W, I hope you do someday find something to be positive about. To all the rest, take care.

I agree with Sydneywolf, anyone know of any wolves forums with more positive fans? I thought we played ok, we looked competitive and could easily come away with a draw if not more. Lots of shots even if they weren’t on target. A bit more time and maybe a new defender or the new guy coming back will help. No worse than previous seasons where we stayed up comfortably, a bit more confidence and shooting practice and we will be away.

Lucky Leicester. We really had them on the ropes at times in the second half and Brendan Rogers knew it. Just a little more shooting composure and squad fitness now. COYW.

It's no disgrace to lose 1-0 at Leicester, we certainly won't be the last, could AV earned a draw, but hey that's football,
Spurs will be very interesting,
And who knows maybe a couple of new signings

You should stay Jas, there are always fans who take a negative view unless we are winning every game five nil. They put their point of view, to which they are entitled, but are unable to withstand an opposing view when put coherently, which you and others regularly do.
Interesting that there was a view to sell Neves and Traore and buy some quality players, that view beggars belief and shows the gap between sensible chatter and nonsensical drivel. Not everyone understands the game as you so obviously do and this forum will be less interesting with your absence and will give the ill informed a stronger platform if they go unchallenged.

I've always said it, doom and negativity is the default setting for 60%-75% of Wolves fans I think!
Lots of positives from today I feel against a team that are possibly third/ fourth best in the country at the moment.

14 Aug 2021 18:39:50
SQ own up are you really a Wolves fan or just here to try to wind people up?

14 Aug 2021 19:04:49
Jas, I've limited my posting here for exactly the same reason. If people live their lives in an entirely negative way to reflect their thoughts on here, they must have miserable lives.

I am all for reasoned debate and everyone is entitled to their views, but some on here seem to be hell bent on negativity which is beyond reasonable discussion. Stop and think how your negativity affects people because it is not healthy. I'm signing off too.

SQ ain’t a wolves fan full stop, even if he believes he is he ain’t, A fan is someone who supports his team even when things ain’t going well, and after a tight 1 goal defeat against a regular top 5 team away can hardly be classed as things not going well anyway, he supports another team locally our he is the definition of the worst fan ever.

14 Aug 2021 19:59:16
But there was a lot of negative play today, and people should be able to call it out,
We are not far off but do need some new blood, kilman had a decent game but is not suitable on the right side of defence, saiss and marcial were at fault in my opinion along with coady for the goal, trincao looked a bit lightweight but will get better, but Traore looks disinterested to me.
If a good offer comes in I would move him on, especially with podence and Neto on the way back.

Jas M I will be sorry to see you go. For the sake of your well balanced and reasoned contributions please stay. This site will be a lesser site without you.
