Jas : why you think fans who are more than a little concerned are negative? There are images and artists impressions of all the new Molineux’s that never came to fruition, we’ve had shots at the Prem a couple of times and failed, this time was supposed to be different but it isn’t, three weeks to the season and the team is not as good as three years ago when they were promoted, not being negative but some of us have seen it all before, more times than we care to remember .

Agree0 Disagree0

Disagree with you Ron regarding this time is supposed to be different, our shots at the prem in the past ain’t even close to this time, in the past we were happy to just finish 4th or 5 th from the bottom, maybe beat a top team every now and again and maybe have a nice cup run, this time we have beaten top six often even did the double over the champions one season, we finished 7th 7th and the 13th which in the past would have been a major success but now it’s a failure, we have played in Europe, lost in the quarter against the eventual winners and admittedly they were better than us on the day but we did miss a pen at 0-0 when we all know how good we were at that time at winning when ahead, we lost a semi FA cup to Watford and no one can deny we should have won that as being 2-0 up but for some reason we imploded when we were almost semi the final, we buy players from Barcelona, Porto, Milan, Benfica, sporting etc etc etc not lower league English teams anymore? No mate sorry this time ain’t nothing like before to be fair.

The ground development is happening. It has just been put on the back burner due to more important things happening such as the C.V.

The money used to expand the stadium will not be part of the FFP regulations however Fosuns priorities simply lay elsewhere.

Sir Jack created a 29500 stadium and it was never filled. Steve Morgan expanded it and again, it never got filled. It is only since Fosun took over that we have had sustained success but rather than build a stadium rather than the squad, Fosun are looking to ensure that the foundations are in place.

Oxley Ron is bang on in his analysis-I have been beating the same drum on this site for quite a while. It's the same old Wolves no matter who is running the club. We will do well to stave off relegation this season.

"Same old Wolves, no matter who is running the club" SQ? You have to be joking! Fosun bought the club five years ago and we haven't looked back since. Well some of you have, or haven't noticed the progress under Fosun. These days we are buying or bidding for players from Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus etc. This is a long way from taking Leon Clarke on loan. We are a serious and established PL club with a growing international reputation. We're not the likes of Burnley, Brighton or Crystal Palace, but no offence to those teams. We have genuine and realistic aspirations to top six and Europe.

It takes time and patience to really establish a club in the Premier League and this is nothing like the MM or JH eras. For starters it's the clubs longest successive run of seasons in the PL. Lots of clubs with less quality available than us still haven't moved much in the transfer market yet, and it's a transfer window like no other after the last season.

Building materials costs have increased significantly, and new stands require a lot of material and labour. Peoples priorities in general are not as they were 18 months ago, so I'd expect Fosun are changing their priorities on how best to grow the club financially. The ground expansion may not be as viable right now, but may be of more benefit in a couple of years from a cost to reward perspective. They are successful business owners and will have looked at the long term costs, forecasts and revenues and will act accordingly.

I'm not expecting a top 6 challenge this season, or a relegation battle. I'd expect mid table obscurity but hopefully some more entertaining performances.
