Wolves Under 23 fixtures are on the website, HOME games to be played in Kidderminster almost twenty miles away, actually further away than some of the away games, would’ve thought it not beyond the realms of possibility that maybe our owners could build a small stadium on one of the derelict sites in Wolverhampton, surely the youngsters would benefit from playing at home in Wolvo and would attract better support, maybe even the next generation of fans who at the moment can’t even get to see a game. Do Fosun know the population of Wolverhampton is over a quarter of a Million.

Aston Villa and West Bromwich Albion for two, that’s really not the point though, players for the future are brought in at great expense, shown the impressive training complex at Compton, shown around Molineux where they’ll play when they make the first team, but then are treated like they’re not part of the same Club and have to travel twenty miles to play their home games on a non league pitch, if Fosun can’t afford a patch of grass in Wolverhampton and accommodate a couple of thousand fans who would like to see them play they might as well give up.

If there is any truth in Neves keeping his options open waiting for “biggest†club to come in for, then some of our own business will, in turn, be on hold. Some of our declared interests may well be weighing up their options. There are two or three I would like to see with us next season but all of them appear to have a number of suitors. This waiting game is frustrating but unfortunately, with very few exceptions, inevitable. Doing your business early is preferable but rarely happens, unless your target is not being looked at by others or has received offers further down the football pyramid than ourselves. Offers are obviously in for some of the players we have been linked with, clubs may even have accepted those offers, but final decision will be with the player/ agent and that usually happens toward the end of the window. Don’t want us to miss out on top targets by being impatient and opting for lesser players.
