Ryan Giles sent on loan to Cardiff to work with Mick. Personally think it's a bad move, as I feel like he could have been one of the players that could've been a star under Lage.
Feel like Lage could definitely be a success even if we loose neves. Think Otasowie and Hopefully corbeau could be amazing under Lage.
Think MGW and Mosquera hopefully will be good too!
Still think we need another centre back with a bit of pace and a pacey striker to partner Jimenez.
Also please let us sign Ait Nouri otherwise there's no point letting a faster Giles on loan.
Thoughts?

I would like to see Giles given a look at and the same for dion sanderson.
With new additions and Lage having rave reviews about bringing youth through I'm personally looking forward to the new season.
Fwaw.

Wolves011
Giles will be 22 this year so if he is going to make it the clock is ticking and I guess, after what I believe were reasonable loans last year, the club feel he needs another year, at hopefully a higher level than Championship strugglers or Div 1, to develop further?
Worryingly though Sanderson shone there, Cardiff, and then was bizarrelly sent to Div 1 Sunderland, where again he shone, before it seems we are going to sell him, for a v modest fee, without giving him a sniff?
So yes I'd def like to see us giving the youngsters you mentioned a chance - especially if its instead of buying/ loaning other people's kids for £20m -£35m who have no more experience, (or sadly as it turned out ability), than ours (may) do!
However I strongly suspect you can only feed in one or two in at a time and then only if we have a strong experienced core to support them - so I def don't want Neves to leave, (as well as Moutinho), as he would, in your scenario, be the experienced midfield partner for Otasowie or maybe MGW.
Re RAN he did ok in the latter half of the season but at £20m he is ludicrously overpriced.
We don't know but you supect that given a lengthy run in the team Sanderson, Giles, Mosquera or Marques could be ok as well and the Mosquera and Sanderson fees tells you where kids like that are valued.
Given he has had the season and has looked ok rather tha "might" he maybe is now worth a high single digit or a v v low double digit fee but not £20m so the ball is probably in Angers court.
ps yes we still need a forward to partner/ cover Jimenez as Silva is nowhere near ready - see point above - and yes we still need another RCB - as we did last summer as well!
pps I hope you are right about Lage's impact he has a big challenge ahead of him so getting the tranfers right this time is essential - selling Neves would not be a good start!

ps I suggested Elanga from United as a kid -available apparently for a couple of million (? ) - as an option see thread below. However I got no responses so Wolves011 do you think he may be one Lage could develop.
He seemeed from the way he tore us apart last season to be fairly good already so suspect United may prefer a loan to a sale but surely worth asking?

I’d like to see Dion Sanderson given a chance. But I think back to Danny Baath’s loan deal to Sheffield Wednesday in league one where he shone and went on to do the same for Wolves in league one (we all remeber the chant “ Danny Baath’s from Brilerly Hill. â€) but got his chance in the championship and didn’t do as well as expected.

V fair point Debbie but at least he got a chance.
Sanderson actually performed v well in the Championship for Cardiff the year before and then was sent to Div 1 last year. It doesn't make much sense.
I can only assume that the club have seen him in trainning, (although as he was at Sunderland all season I'm not sure how often recently that can be the case), and don't think he will make it in the Prem which of course is where we are now.
But maybe instead of sellling a loan to either a top Champ side, as should have happened last year (when it seems we couldn't do much right? ), or if poss to a lower level Prem team is the way to go.
What do we lose by giving him a fair chance - a measly couple of million but if he makes it there he adds value at the very worst and possibly becomes an option at the best?

future. Re Sanderson I couldn't agree more. Selling for 2m when we have developed him and not really given him a real chance is stupid. If they are not sure he should be going on loan to a team that will be challenging in the top half of the championship. That will decide his long term future. Makes more sense to me tbh.
