According to 'Inside Futbol' the Nuno to Crystal Palace deal that was looking done and dusted is off, due to additional demands the club won't meet. Interesting to see if this one has any substance.

Apparently nuno wanted to take his own back staff and palace wanted to retain those left by Hodgson.

Nope. Literally every source and people inside the club have said he was pretty much sacked. Even Jeff alluded to as much. People inside the club know he was told this in Feb and that is when they first looked at Lage. Why do you think this all happened so quickly? Nothing to do with money, they were just not happy with how Nuno handled this season and had lost confidence. They also saw the fans comments about the defensive and stagnant football. Literally the reason they've gone for a manager shown to be attacking.
Palace were shocked by the additional demands coming so late in the day and also had been insulted once or twice by Nuno's apparent lack of speed in communicating and seemed to be in no rush whereas Palace want it solved ASAP. This is what I've read from Palace reporters that have probably paid cleaners and others inside for info and what they have seen or overheard at the club. A lot better than assuming based on zero evidence.

Nuno is Loyal to his backroom team and so he should be, this also could be a stumbling block at Everton.
Regardless of wether Nuno was sacked or not, it has no relevance to what he does now, I was gutted he left whatever the circumstance was, but now we should move on.
We should all focus on Bruno and his dream.

Of course but Nuno remains a legend in my memory and would be welcomed back any time.
