I'm not being a smart ar$e here, but why was he sacked at Chelsea? he was financially backed also, a luxury he wouldn't get at Wolves given Jeff Shi's recent comments on transfers "The word we’re going to talk about a lot is being creative, so maybe swaps, maybe loans, which we’ve done very well in the past, loans with obligations. "

Why does it matter?! I honestly couldn't care less where our next manager comes from as long as he's good! Do you think the City owners are worried that Peps not English?! I also ask again where people are getting this opinion of Lampard from?! So far he's had been given (and it was given not earnt) two VERY appealing roles for the average manager and he's failed at both of them! He's achieved nothing to date?! He snatched defeat from the jaws of success with a Derby team that should have comfortably won the title! Then he spent a fortune at Chelsea and some how ended up getting worse results than the season before?! In fact I would go as far to say that if this had been a less well known player with Lampards management record (say Alex Rae) then people would be up in arms with him just being tied to the job!
I'm not sure why peeps are convinced that Frank's already a top level manager when all the previous evidence suggests he still needs to learn his trade?!

Bully, I think Frank could do a good job to be honest, Chelsea came too soon for him, Wolves job would be ideal for him, I wouldn't say no to him.

But why Sydney? If the Chelsea job came to soon whys he suddenly ready for an equally large challenge (arguably bigger with our current lack of balance and defenders) despite having not had any extra experience since that job?! Either he's up to it or he ain't and so far he ain't been! I would also point out that his previous teams have had the luxury of operating at the top end of the league, easy to play attacking open football when that's tbe case! Do you really think he's worth the risk when the stakes are as high as they are for us this season? I think he'd be a relegation battle waiting to happen to be honest!

Well I would, I'd sooner AV Frank Bruno, 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Rafa for me, 👍👍👍.

Grey- as I said before I don't especially like him or his football for that matter (his whole approach is percentage stats driven) . However even I can't argue that the man does have pedigree! And more importantly I think would also go a LONG way to guaranteeing safety! Can't see it to be honest as I suspect he'd still expect bigger budgets (his wages and players wages) . Have to admit though Grey whilst I might not like Rafa (mostly his brand of footy) I would feel a LOT safer with him over half these others mentioned. 🐺.

Point taken mate 👍
I don't think at this point we need a Gerard or lampard, maybe a few years down line, but whoever comes in, their going to expect funds to establish their mark on the club,
How many new players do you think we need, given the fact that we keep most first teamers?

27 May 2021 21:30:52
I agree on lampard, too much of a risk, benitez is a no from me, he is a man of the past for me.
Galtier, who's just left Lille would be my choice, I think he could make a bit of a difference with the squad we already have.
With a couple of additional signings we could expect to challenge the big six with him in charge.
Just my opinion.

Actually think your right on Galtier as well Big for what it's worth, definitely a class manager. Sadly the Ed has already said (usually correctly:) that he sees himself at a bigger club (Euro quals at least) sadly. definitely think your right otherwise, this is the tricky line we currently have to walk. Fingers crossed cause I'd love us to get him 🤞.

Greyleg - I have said before if everyone is fit we only need a couple of first 11 additions CB and CM plus 2 or 3 additional squad members for cover and options. BUT if the injured player aren't fit and clearly they aren't and in some case won't be for some time if ever, then we may need to add 2 or 3 more first team players.
I strongly suspect that this is not possible within the transfer budget and FFP so we will need to be creative - vets on frees, loans or players who can cover more than one place OR even as Nuno always said "from within the squad". Maybe for example Sanderson or Owen can be the squad player we need or MGW can be the first 11 CM (optimistic perhaps but the devil drives)
How many do you think we need?

Bullys I think Chelsea is much bigger job that Wolves, they pretty much have to make top 4 each year or your sacked, Wolves are not at that level just yet, everyone was saying Rodgers was rubbish and not suited to Wolves etc, for me Rafas ego is too big, yes he has some good accolades to his bow, bit personally he doesn't get my vote, lad from Lille has done a great job, bit as someone said his eyes are on a bigger job, there's a lot of movement in the management game at minute, and its 50/ 50 that we succeed in getting someone in the move us forward, the biggest issue is us fans on whether they give the manager time, as Nunon was a big part of our club and the change is going to take time to bed in.
Whoever comes in there will be those who are unhappy, for me as a personal choice, Lampard, Conceisou, are my top 2. The rest fall into the same bracket of they could. do a job and wouldn't complain.

Hopefully, a CB, aggressive midfielder, striker, if Patricio goes maybe keeper,
