So a man who’s left “The Project” by “mutual consent” leaving behind players who came to play for him gets his name sung from all parts of the stadium, walks round the pitch being clapped every step of the way and exits through a guard of honour formed by his squad, closely followed by his backroom staff, didn’t look right, didn’t feel right, this could be a decision the Club regret.

What a fabulous way to leave a job!
Not like the normal situation when managers are sacked!
Says millions about Nuno and his team and indeed the owners who have not dragged his reputation through the mud. Even the Press have been kinder than usual.
His comments after “ We are going to test and spend time with our families- then we will see”
Obviously has something lined up for his team.
As we all wait to hear what the future holds for the club let’s hope it’s a positive step and not a step back!
If it was all about a lack of money for investment then we will be in trouble. However, with the marketing arm more and more active in China and the Far East let’s hope Fosun have a plan to go forward positively!

It was very clear that he certainly hadn't lost the dressing room. If Fosun bring in someone who takes us to the next level then fair play.

Summat not right here.

His leaving comments were all "we" when referring to the clubs future, his love for Wolverhampton obvious, "its not goodbye". It does have a hint of a twist in the plot.

I hope your right Abbey, don't usually feel this down after a decision in football, but Nyno leaving feels wierd.

I took it as “we” ( his team of coaches) and the “see you soon” has a bit of a ring to it as if he will continue in the premier league?
I do sincerely hope he doesn’t alienate the Wolves supporters by going to another Premier league club but who knows in these circumstances?
Perhaps it was Nuno himself who decided his time was up?

Good point exref I was reading it, I suppose in a wistful way, but still sensed an attachment. Oh well.

Yes ExRef before Nuno started along the guard of players there was a short group conversation, I assume with the coaching team. I suspect that was what he was referring to hen using the word we. Many of them will probably working with him again in the future. As others said, this does not seem right, but that said the reality is we have looked stale for much of the season and in effect lost yestetday to an U23 side. Whoever comes in I fear that this is going to be a tough gig in more ways than one both football and motivational wise.
