I think tonight proved what i've always said VAR is out to screw teams over nothing more, disgusting by VAR tonight.

So Podences arm was further forward than Kongolos knee but behind kongolos arm. I can't quite see the offside rule that states that a defenders body is not to include his arms. Absolutely shocking decision.

I’ve been critical of VAR all season it takes the decisions away from the match officials but also means they are frightened to make decisions. This continual obsession with millimetres in offside is ridiculous! If it was his arm that was off side how is that correct as he can’t score with his arm! The officials change the rules to protect their colleagues. This game isn’t about officials it’s about the players and the supporters. I am so glad my time as a top level official is way behind me as I’d be sacked for my views. We made mistakes but overall the players would accept that!
VAR has got to change in the future!
