Jose Mourinho may be available soon as Spurs see sixth position as failure but if Mourinho got us to sixth it would give us something to build on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mourinho are you serious?! He's spent a small fortune at every club he's been to and then STILL pubically moans that he's not been backed. There's not a chance he'd come to work on our budgets! Then there's the fact that the biggest problem reading these pages seems to be that peeps think Nunos negative and we're going to improve on that with Portugals own answer to Sam Allardyce are we?! Sorry Wom cause I do understand why you say it, cause there's no denying Jose can at least attract a certain calibre of player. Sadly these days all he seems to do is rock up spend a fortune on players and contracts (including his own) and then spends the next 18 months winding his own players up SO much that they eventually down tools! You can't knock Jose's record I'll give you that, but as he was so quick to remind Wenger the past is the past. These days he looks a LONG way from the 'Choosen One'! I would honestly cancel my season ticket, winner or not his brand of football is the worst in the league these days! No thanks 😩.

How about making the Portugal U21 manager an offer then as we are signing Portugal’s best youngsters and they wiped the floor with England last week.

I'd give Lampard a chance. 2 yr contract. Hungry to succeed. Cut his teeth well at Derby. Intelligent bloke plus if we need an attacking midfielder, who better than Frank to come on with 10 minutes left:)

Wouldn't touch Mourinho with a barge pole.

If I owned a barge pole, I would throw it away now so I wouldn't even be tempted to touch Moaninho with it!

Check out his honours list rated. If Spurs sack him he could stabilise us and give us time to find the next manager/ head coach. Would give Joao Moutinho time to take his coaching badges and become assistant head coach.

He is poison every team he has managed has always had a bad dressing room.

Mourinho becoming manager won't do much to appease those who claim that Jorge Mendes has too much influence at the club. Also, he hasn't won anything for 4 seasons. And just to add the icing to the cake, some have complained that Nuno has made grave mistakes by letting Goncalves (who, let's be honest, none of us saw play) who has gone on to become a decent player, so why oh why would we want a manager who sold the following players because he didn't think they're good enough: Kevin De Bruyne, Glen Johnson, Leonardo Bonucci, Mohamed Salah, Juan Mata, Ryan Bertand, Romelu Lukaku, Oriel Romeu and Ezequiel Garay.

If your complaining about Nuno allowing Goncalves to leave, Mourinho is a calamity waiting to happen.

Rated you say Mourinho is poison but any player who falls foul of our beloved Nuno gets moved on with no explanation and our dressing room can’t be the happiest at the moment with players playing for themselves and looking for a transfer to a top six club which Spurs are.

E, can I just confirm that what you are saying is that appointing a manager who took a team that finished 4th under Pochettino and leading them to 6th the following season is seen as progress?

08 Apr 2021 14:53:22
Mourinho! Seriously nit sure the statistic still stands but up to December Nuno was the clubs most successful manager in terms of percentage games won. Someone mentioned dropping to the championship if he went, I fear it will be lower than that which is why I would like to see a more diverse transfer strategy less based around Portugal but Fosun are smart enough to realise that I imagine, that said they can only sign players prepared to join the club. Not posted for a while and although I admire most posters optimism I confess to concern about the next 7 games partucularly tomorrow with Boly and Jonny both out.

Jas M. As Mourinho and Spurs are currently sixth in the Premier this is seen as failure by Daniel Levy and yourself and should Spurs terminate his contract this could be our opportunity to appoint a proven world class Premier League winning manager. You asked for suggestions on who should replace Nuno and Mourinho is one suggestion the owners (who have been very supportive of Nuno) could consider.

My opinion there a big difference between nuno and Mourinho. Mourinho has publicly slated his players, nuno does not.
At the end of the day if you are a manager in any job or role if your workers are not doing what they should you move them on.
Only the manager sees this no one else.

I've never questioned Mourinho ability but what your saying is that Mourinho can take us to the next level. Yes he's won trophies at Porto, Chelsea, Inter, Real and Man Utd but he was also given endless amounts of money to achieve this. But the facts show that he hasn't won a trophy in 4 seasons. He caused rifts at Man Utd most notably Pogba and has led this Spurs team further away from the PL that anytime in the last 5 seasons. This to me is not a progressive manager. I would think of Mourinho as a successful manager from the recent past. Look how he's bombed Dele Alli out of the Spurs squad. You slate Nuno for falling out with players but Mourinho is renowned for it. Plus his signings haven't exactly set the world on fire at Spurs. Remember Gedson Fernandes? Likewise, we could appoint a Bielsa type manager, you know, the type that plays pretty football but inevitably doesn't win anything.
