I saw today that Pedro goncalves is having an exceptional season in Portugal. we let him go for only one million last season to flamicao and has now gone on to sporting where he’s bagged 15 goals and 3 assists in 20 games from midfield and occasionally the wing. Wanted by Liverpool apparently now in a big money move, being regarded as next Bruno. Seems to be exactly the kind of player that we are in desperate need of, Begs the question as to why on earth we’d let him go, especially for such a low price. Terrible business.

Probably for the same reason that Chelsea let De Bruyne go, or why Man City let Sancho go. That reason being he wasn't that good when he was with us and he found his feet at another club. I don't recall any fans calling for him to be included in the matchday squad when he was at the club.

Its wonderful thing is hindsight, Jas is right he wasn’t doing it for us, easy to say probably should have been given more time as we obviously saw something when we signed him.

There's no point in speculating on former players, plenty of clubs dropped the proverbial when it comes to selling players, a few good examples mentioned above. Areas Wolves have to address during the summer are the midfield (AMF), defence (CB and LWB) and competition for Raul. I'm getting a bit bored of signing youth with high potential - how many have been sold on already? . We need proven players, then look at blooding in youth.
This season has shown flaws, the main one being after the starting eleven Wolves haven't got a great bench. To get to the "next level" Wolves need a greater depth of talent within a small squad. Just my thoughts.

If we were to best Liverpool tomoz, we would be 5 points behind them, then we could aim to finish above them, good target to aim at,

We do have 2 sell on clauses apparently, so we'll get a bit back if he goes for big money.

Hindsight is 20/ 20 isn't it. Lots of clubs have let players go and mature and cause a degree of embarrassment though I believe we still have a financial interest in him for 2 transfers. So if he moves let's hope it's for lots of money. So not a total loss maybe.
Our small squad size was at some point going to bite us on the bum. Let's hope we learn from it and get sorted for next year in the Prem. The sooner this season is done with the better and we have fans back to support our Wolves.

Many years ago we thought a certain alan ball wasn't big enough. he was certainly big in 66 and he tormented us for a fair few seasons.
