Just seen an article ref Doherty transfer if true how can an agent get £6 mill on a transfer of £15mill no wonder there's problems in football, coupled with VAR terrible refs Players feigning injuries after nearly ever challenge, no crowds my interest is waning . Not with Wolves I may add still as passionate as ever for my club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Did any of you see the argument between Roy Keane and Jamie Redknapp? Matt Doherty came into the firing line, Roy Keane made some valid points about him.

Football these days is frankly ridiculous norfolkwolf you have hit the nail on the head everything you have posted I agree with I noticed an incident in the Utd Chelsea game when the referee was taking a second look on the monitor the players were actually standing with him you couldn’t make it up could you.

Saw that too. The pundits, namely Gary Neville said it was out of order and the players (Maguire, Azpiluceta and Hudson Odoi) should be punished as it is against the rules to shout your opinions to the ref whilst he is watching the VAR monitor. Anyway, on this occasion he got it right as it wasn't handball.

I agree. The manner in which players obviously over react to any physical challenge is spoiling the game. It is becoming almost a non-contact sport, with non-penalised shirt pulling and players harassing the ref and diving it is not a pretty spectacle at times.

Does anyone remember just a few years ago the FA said they would stop holding and shirt pulling at corners and free kicks, the first couple of weeks refs gave some penalties but that soon faded. How do we as fans stop this nonsense that’s in the game today . It’s the people’s game not the FAs it’s a money maker and Nuno gets fined 25k for having an opinion I really am in despair, you are right Wimborne no contact is the way it’s going (rant over) tough one tonight at least a draw I hope.

I have to say I couldn't agree more strongly Norfolk. Quite honestly for the first time in my life I am regularly finding myself choosing to watch other things over neutral games. Where I agree most with you point is the three issues ruining football being transfers, refs and VAR. All three of which are steadily pulling away at any TRUE passion within this once great sport. I think in fairness the Ref/ VAR problem is part of the larger problem of players cheating! It makes me very sad as I'm getting to the stage where I don't even know if I can be bothered with a season ticket when this madness ends 😭.

Thing that gets me when there's a contentious issue the managers get interviewed and can't give honest opinion, players can't give or don't know why, and refs don't get questioned at all. So VAR/ refs can spoil games and lean towards decisions for whatever reason, the handball gives a good example of who interprets it which way. The rule hange wasn't necessary otherwise. Its money that dictates and the big 6 can get away with diving feigning and appealing their way to success, the game is being ruined.
