Wolf thistle 19th re loan players I found a recent interview featuring Luke Mathieson on loan at Ipswich he seems a determined sort it was particularly heartening to hear him speak so highly of wolves I quote he loved every minute and he was learning from nuno and the quality of players currently at wolves hopefully he comes back and features in or near the first team.

One strategy we haven’t used is to recruit players with Premier League experience from the tams relegated at the end of a season. Others have used this recruitment route successfully. Godfrey, Doucoure and Wilson have all performed well for Everton and Newcastle respectively. Not wishing to write off teams before their fate is sealed but you would hope that our recruitment team would be casting an eye over some prospects from the bottom four or five teams. I think there are a number of good young players in some of those sides that would be an upgrade on some of our starting eleven.

v good point Wolfthistle. Who would you target?
If we want a keeper although maybe after the last couple of games we don't need one after all Johnstone of WBA might be an idea.
SU's CBs all looked v good last year and this year a couple of them are injured - so can't be to blame for the collapse of the team (Indeed it maybe the reason! )
Lookman looks (boom boom) good but wide forwards are hardly an area that needs strengthening as we have 3 top class ones already.

I'd certainly take lookman. There's not much more about in the bottom 3 really but lookman I think is class and he'll play at the top. I look at him and netto and think. them 2 in the same team would cause havoc.

That Cavaleiro, at Fulham, looks half decent! Seriously, though, given we are desperate for new blood in Centre Mid, Harrison Reed has been outstanding lately, particularly at Everton. Can see Fulham staying up, however. If Newcastle go, Callum Wilson will be worth an enquiry! FWAW.

Preston - CW is a quality player that I wish we could have signed in the summer - especially at the v low price he went for - but as others have pointed out it is likely that he would have been unwilling to accept a back up role - which before Jimenez's injury was all he was likely to get?
Now perhaps with the possibility of more football - will Jimenez return at the level he was at and certainly will he play 90 mins 38 games a year in his first year back - he might be interested if Newcastle go down.
With Fulham showing signs of resurgence it is possible I suppose?
