Better attacking the ball, better getting forward. Neto superb but we can't just depend on him apart from semedo and traores cracker who really got an effort in. I'm not complaining just observing. Patricio excellent and my m. o. m. Still got to sort throw ins out and make better use of free kicks. But happy and as rosy cheeked as an obese chip shop server. Take it the chilli went down well Phil?

Overall a comfortable win, (we should gave scored at least 1 with all our possession and chances in the first half), until the last 20mins or so.
In the last 20 or so however it became unnecessarily edgy as we were terrible against crosses/ free kicks/ corners etc which were all extremely well delivered by Raphina who was v good by the way. This, compares v badly with ours, which are truly awful. Surely, we have someone who can hit a dead ball beyond the wall/ first man. Moutinho and Neves both struggling badly with this aspect and their shooting is abysmal as well. Sadly, it is for most of the side most of time– hence only 1 goal despite lots of good chances!

Tried to judge on whole game but 3CBs have to lose marks for weak last 20+
Patricio 9 – Magnificent performance despite being badly let down by his CBs in the last 20 or so minutes. Up grading priority just got a lot lower!
Semedo 8 3 shots on target in first 35 mins and he should have scored with 2nd. He was also good defensively. It was largely down our left we had problems.
Dendonker 5 Was good until they started pumping balls in and then he struggled to judge crosses/ high balls. Also caught out by balls threaded down his channel too easily! OK, but not a starting CB
Coady 6 was v good until pressure came on and then struggled to cope with aerial power and quick movement of Leeds’s front men
Saiss 6 As above. All of this shows how badly we miss Boly to win headers in our own box! [Last year Doherty and Jimenez were also big parts of defending corners etc and neither were out there today}
Otto 7– you don’t know how good someone is until they aren’t there and when he went off our left side opened up. Looked slow going forwards, (and perhaps tired) but solid at the back
Neves 6 – was good defensively but has disappeared as an offensive threat. Just can’t shoot anymore!
Moutinho 8 Seemed to be everywhere in the first half picking up loose balls at will. Energy was amazing – has he been listening? Shooting, free kicks and corners badly substandard for a player of his quality though!
Traore 7 – A real Curate’s egg. Needs to take the ball moving not standing still so often and also play quicker. Also be more ambitious and take on the CBs or frankly just push it past them and run. Often beat 3 or 4 defenders and advanced into a threatening position only to lay the ball off to a player less well placed. But does good things and does them well. V frustrating!
Jose 5 If Neto had squared the ball for him he had a tap in but ball didn’t come. Sadly, though this was a v static and low energy performance. His body language is v poor, he looks disinterested, and he is easily brushed off the ball. However, he can obviously play and when in space he links reasonably and is reasonably good defensively in his own box. Plus, he is still a million miles better than Silva! But he is not helping himself if he wants the move in the summer for £22m I sadly suspect we can do better
Neto 7 Great first half but must take some the chances he gets and be more aware of others. Traore lays the ball off too much Neto not enough. Faded badly as game went on but forgivable given the effort he puts in early on.

Marcal 6 wasn’t on for long and didn’t do anything of note before going off again!

Silva 5 Best cameo for quite a long time. Actually, looked interested and ran about. Touch was good as well. A positive 10 mins or so! If we are 2 or 3 up in a dead fixture I might risk him for a longer - say 15 minute? - cameo some time.

Yes abbey my brother looked after me. My brother cooks a chilli exactly the same as our mom used to and I love it.
We both enjoyed the match and the evening together.
Mouthino had a good chance I thought he tried to place it rather than put his laces through it. good hold up play by jose.
First half I thought we created more but their defender cooper free 3 times from the set piece in swinging free kick from the right hand side.
All in all we seem to be heading more in he right direction.
I going to be bored tomorrow and sunday but I well past my normal bedtime so looking forward to a lie in tomorrow.
