With reference to my previous post regarding hoever deputising for Boly it takes me back to the days when wolves would give young players an opportunity in that position ie Colin brazier Bob hazel jolean lescott Danny Ba’ath to name but a few why not hoever.

Would be happy with Hoever in the back 3, maybe he's seen as Coadys long-term replacement. Other young centre-backs I remember; Jon Pender, Tom Bennett and Nicky Clarke . FWAW.

Think it was Statto or Sharesum who suggested Hoever as a CB (sorry if it wasn't and I have failed to give the relevant person credit for a smart idea) and I replied saying it was a great idea but possibly one for the future as I didn't think he was strong enough to play CB now. I added it was one of the things we could try once we were mathematically safe.
Whilst Lescott went to the very top after leaving Wolves Bob Hazell could have been just as good as he was superb when he started but sadly I think he lost his way a bit and ended up at QPR not pulling up trees.
I was at the game V Arsenal away (mid to late 70s) in the FA cup I think when he marked Malcolm Macdonald out of the game. It was 0-0 in 89th min and there was a fracas between him and 2 Arsenal players by the corner flag - story I heard though can't recall where from and of course if it was true etc was they racially abused him (? ) . He reacted, [he was a big guy and they play acted that he had hit them like Mike Tyson}, and was sent off. From the corner Macdonald scored. We lost 1-0.

Hi Future. I was at that game behind the goal with a friend who was an Arsenal fan. Absolute sickener!

I was in the North Bank - with lots and lots of Arsenal fans. Often had to go in home end in the 70s as you couldn't get away tickets easily - as if you can now!
Only had trouble once - at WH - but saw plenty particularly at Chelsea one time in late 70s!
Went to Millwall on New Years day in early 70s
1-1 draw but Wolves players didn't want to go near the touchlines in last ten minutes as the drum was beating and the fans were going ballistic!
