A tough match Leicester are a good side a top side and dangerous opponents we more than matched them willian was quiet but the opposition are aware he is a threat I felt we had got our shape back netto was exceptional but overall a good team performance 4 points off Arsenal and Leicester I’ll go for that great to see Jonny back well done lads👍🏻👍🏻.

Agreed PT definitely a step in the right direction. You wouldn't have thought so mind looking at the Sky headlines for the match 'Lec held at Wolves by Jonny and Kilman block' and 'Lec held after late Vardy miss' now what game did they watch?! I know it wouldn't be as catchy but wouldn't 'Wolves share points after they spurn multiple chances to punish Lec' be closer to the truth?! I am half joking but the bias in sports reporting is shameful and worse I don't even think it's even intentional! I just think that most pundits will naturally look at the bigger clubs performance first, then mention the smaller club as an after thought! 🙄.

Happy with the performance though a win would have been nice! A good team showing Neto, Traore I thought were outstanding. We missed Boly but who wouldn't he would have got the ball before Vardy I would have thought. Silva after the save when the camera was on looked like he could burst into tears any minute!

He's only 18 I think he'll come good he was in the right place and it wasn't our only chance. We had enough opportunities, created more than in recent games I thought. All in all a better all round performance.

We looked our old selves, well done lads.

Back to form by Wolves. Leicester were lucky to take a point. Neto and Traore were a class apart. On another day we might have won 2-0 or 3-0.

Rant
24 hours on and having only read the posters on this site – where without making you blush the rationale and top end of the gene pool seems to post cf some of the other sites where we get the flat earth brigade and the 5th monarchists – I am wondering if perhaps my rant is over the top
Yes, several of you comment on the continual fouling of Traore, (Podence is already out of the game for the next month so it didn’t happen to him this time), but it doesn’t seem to bother you unduly nor does the Maddison tackle get any special mention. Are we simply inured to it or was it not that bad?
I hope you recall my disgust with Chelsea, (and to a far lesser extent Everton but ironically not Arsenal), being coached to rely on fouling rather than skill, speed, power, tactical awareness or positional sense to defend, well it appears that even an excellent coach like Brendan Rogers knows that refs are complicit in cheating and therefore it is a v sensible low risk tactic.
Where does this leave the game and poor old Gareth Southgate who has to un-couch (sp? ) these tactics / skills (? ) which are completely unacceptable anywhere else in the world before they can run out for England. No wonder we are so poor internationally.
Are refs and the FA bringing the game into disrepute by positively rewarding/ encouraging cheating?
Cheats never prosper – you are having a laugh – Leicester and Chelsea are doing just fine!
If we adjusted the sizes of the goals, took the air out of the ball or drugged the opposition tea urn we would quite rightly be severely reprimanded, fined, deducted points whatever but organised systematic cheating on the pitch is seemingly perfectly ok.
Harvey Barnes with a tackle Eddie Jones could only have dreamed off brought down a breaking Traore and wasn’t even booked!
Choudry and Justin, (who actually played v well), got away with numerous minor nudges and kicks designed, (largely successfully), to stop Traore developing any momentum.
The Turkish CB cynically took him out as last man and got a yellow (rules don’t allow anything else) but Maddison’s tackle was by far the worst.
With Traore running at full speed Maddsion launched himself to kick him as hard as he could just below the left knee with the ball not even in the picture. There was no effort to even pretend he was trying to play the ball. This was a premeditated assault on Traore.
If that is not serious foul play what is?
This tackle could easily have been a career ending tackle and yet he didn’t get, as by the rules he should, a red card.
Even if he has been sent off what would he have got a 3-match ban?
I often refer to other sports as guides to how to make the game better and Rugby again has this right.
Firstly, a player can be set off (England had one against Scotland) for the cumulative effect of other players small fouls but secondly if you are sent off for serious foul play you are banned not for 3 games but perhaps for 3 months!
Also, if the incident is missed on the pitch and by the video ref you can still be banned by the citing officer who looks at the game afterwards!
Foul play in a game as violent as Rugby hardly ever happens.
If the FA are serious about improving the game and England’s chances at International level, they must clean up their act and force refs to apply the laws i. e. Maddison is sent off and possibly Leicester lose another player along the way as well.
This would mean teams have to learn to play not cheat and surely that is a good thing?

2 points dropped or 1 won?
Before the game I would have snatched a point v willingly (and when Vardy’s header was arrowing towards the corner of the goal in the last few minutes of the game I would then as well)
However over all if we had won by 2 or 3 I don’t think that would have been unreasonable.
First half we were under the cosh a bit but Leicester for all their possession created nothing and we had a couple of good chances.
But second half we dominated but then let them have a couple of chances/ goalmouth scrambles at the end.
I guess disappointed we didn’t win and isn’t that great!
Best performance since Arsenal away!

Patricio –7 had nothing significant to do and did what he had to do ok
Semedo 7 Solid both ways. I really do think he will be fine or even better next year.
Otto – 7 Fantastic to have him back made a big, big difference
(Hoever sub) - 6 Ok but not at the races offensively as Otto was see Neto comment
Dendonker – 6 Not sure I am being fair. I used to love him but now only “see” his shortcomings that have been there all along anyway. He has been exposed by the light shone on him with the team not performing. He is a cog in a wheel not a major component and we have not been able to use him as a cog instead have unfairly asked him to step up – he cant! If we are looking to upgrade the first 11 to better footballers – the argument with Doherty/ Semedo – he is surely next to move back into a squad role.
Coady 6 Neither he nor Dendonker looked as comfortable with the ball as I would like and he didn’t exude calm in what was actually a pretty stable game
Kilman 7 – Much happier at CB in a 3 ( aren’t they all! )
Moutinho 6 Good game both ways but really must do better in front of goal – see last week! Excelled in a low pressure game from a subpar Leicester – or did we make them look sub-par?
Neves 7 Strong defensively but must cut out bookings. Contributed well to moving the ball around offensively, ( made Silva chance with delightful ball) but probably time to hand over free kicks to someone else as they are pretty ordinary these days. Shooting practice for whole squad needed but him and Moutinho especially!
Neto 8 Unplayable at times in first half when linking with Otto. But, faded badly in 2nd half without Otto and as his lack of full fitness kicked in? On the 23rd minute he received a ball in space looked up and played it back square and put his hands on his knees – shattered? Desperately need more end product though – although Traore miss not his fault.
(MGW as sub) n/ a but what does this tell us re Vitor?
Jose 5 Woefully off the pace which is disappointing after good games previously. No pace whatsoever but strong and helps defensively. Def a back up not a replacement or probably actually one of a pair. Shame I thought he was better than this but its still v early days so let's go again and hope that this was the aberration and the other games were the norm
(Silva as sub) 5 In the right place to miss his chance again. V frustrating. If it goes in he is worth a place otherwise it is like playing with 10.
Traore 8 Missed or had blocked a very good chance from a Neto wonder run but was v strong especially in second half. Ref, Brendan Rogers and entire Leicester team should be ashamed of their decision and Refs complicity to use foul play rather than football to try and stop him. If he played for a big 6-side he would have defenders sent off every week. I say it every week but again he needs to drive at goal more as even with Jose there we aren’t particularly strong at winning headers from crosses in the box so much of his work is pointless.
