Well Done Phil, Yes it is Wayne Clarke, only played about 30 mins in a game in 91 went off injured, then went to Telford United.
He played 78 to 84 then just few mins in 91.

I remember him in early 80's when a young whipper snapper then he came back in early 90's for swansong.
I wasnt 100% as I was too young to remember late 70's.
Through the hooliganism my mother forbid my father taking my brother and I to Wembley in 80 (that's what I was told but looking back I think there was a high chance my parents couldn't afford it) I was just gone 7 and my brother was 8.
I wrote to wolves in 1982 asking for is there a supporters club for kids.
I had a reply and it said there wasn't. Even so I treasured the letter because it was to me from the club (wolves) .

Happy New Year to all
Whilst on trivia
Can you name the 2 wolves international goal keepers, on the books for wolves at the same time, played against each other for there national teams, when at the mol.
Believe they lived next door to each other in wolverhampton, even after the one was transferred, to eds team I think

Craig.

I'm stumped Sir .
I thought it might of been Hennessey and ikeme Wales and Nigeria but can not remember wales playing Nigeria.
My other thought would be from the 50's I'm sure I remember as a kid my dad telling me we had 3 international goalkeepers in the squad. I am remembering 30 35 years or so ago so might of 2 international keepers.
I look forward to seeing the answer.
All the best mate.

Hi Phil,
You're not to far away from the 50s
I will leave the answer until tomorrow, just to give you a bit more time.

Craig.

Morning Sir Tatton,
I have no idea pal.

02 Jan 2021 10:17:49
A very good morning to you.
The goal keepers were the great Bert Williams (1945/ 59) and Cyril Sidlow (1937/ 46)
They played an international match against each other in 1945
Wales v England at Ninian Park, whilst still both on the books for wolves.
Cyril was transferred to Liverpool in 1946 for a record £4000, he later returned to wolves in 1953 as cover for Bert, but never played for the first team again. He still trained with wolves during the week, and linked up with Liverpool on match days.
In the 46/ 47 season Cyril played for Liverpool v wolves at the mol, Cyril was man of the match and Liverpool won the match 2-1,Liverpool went on to win the league, had we would have won that match we would have won the league (Nice one Cyril)
Cyril lived next door to Bert (So I have read) and they were great friends.
Cheers
Craig.

Superb history of us, much liked and appreciated.
My brother has met Bert ironically we were both having a conversation about him a few weeks back.
