Hate even thinking this but maybe Cutrone had a point when he blasted Nuno, clock is ticking even my patients are wearing thin now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Careful what you wish for, Rated. Remember Charlton/ Curbishley? Nuno, from nowhere, has made us a solid PL club. Granted, he's had help from Fosun and Uncle Jorge, but name me a suitable replacement. We've missed out on Big Sam! Poch or Howe? Do you not remember Lambert, Hoddle, Mcghee, Salty bacon etc etc. Trust in Nuno FWAW.

Preston I accept where you are coming from. I want Nuno to turn this around, but I am beginning to have my doubts, especially when he blasts Lee Mason. Totally out of character and a sign of desperation. Okay Mason was poor, but no worse than a lot of other refs we have had.

True preston mate anyway i've forgiven Nuno now especially as he had the guts to say what many of us have been saying about the poor standards of referees in the PL.

If Fosum did get rid of Nuno or he walked I wouldn't mind Poch tbf, but hopefullt Nuno ain't going nowhere for a long time.

It was a load of misplaced balls lack of desire poor refereeing and disjointed gameplay. Add the Burnley thuggish tricks and we were a shambles, but considering the injuries and games coming up I am not going to blame Nuno totally. Nuno epitomises everything we would wish for and who else could do that at this time. I'm hugely peed off with aspects such as the short corners and I was angry at the lack of intent tonight, but we can beat spurs on Sunday, I truly believe we might. So spit curse and swear but get behind the lads, behind nuno and bloody well trust him as we've said we do.

I agree with both of you! As usual Rated I see where you are coming from but also agree with Preston that I'm not sure how many better managers there are which would come to us. I think the thing that's concerning me is that it's the first time in Nunos entire tenure that we suddenly look easy to beat half the time. To many players coasting, Neves has steadily got worse since we got promoted! Traore is apprently waiting on a bumper contract but can't get in a weak starting 11?! It's as much on Fosun (if not more) because for all these years in the Prem is our actual squad any better than we had first Prem season, come to that how much better is even our starting team from the one we came up with?! I would actually say that since last summer our squad looks markedly worse! Like Rated I've spent a lot of my time on here defending Fosun but if they don't find there way soon then they are going to undo a LOT of good work! 😭.

Anyone who is questioning Nuno has it wrong, it will come good, but instead of the club selling we should be adding.

21 Dec 2020 21:58:21
Let's see what happens January now i'm sure Nuno has his targets already lined up.

21 Dec 2020 21:59:41
That is a negative comment to say the least =what top class manager would come to us? If a top class manager doesn't want to come to us after what has taken place over the last three years or so, then there is no hope-and I say that with the hope that NUNO turns it around and stays.

21 Dec 2020 22:48:49
SQ- is that aimed at my comment cause if so then take another read buddy cause that isn't what I said! I said how many BETTER managers would come to us, give me a name SQ who's a marked upgrade and would come and work in our current set up?! Even with Poch he's currently on easy street and has been courted by the big clubs in Spain before so there's no guarantees.

22 Dec 2020 10:59:35
BullysBoy-I think what I am trying to say is if the worse case scenario happened and we were after another manager, the achievements over the last three and a bit years, along with Fosun's backing, would surely make us an attractive proposition to a good head coach. I'm not, however, suggesting that some one like Poch would consider us.

22 Dec 2020 11:33:36
SQ- you seem to be missing my point, how many TOP managers are there about at the moment?! There's a reason City have just tied Pep down despite him still being behind Pool and that is partly because there just aren't that many TOP managers about these days! Even with Poch that's still a manager that's never won a major trophy and your agreeing that it's not a given we'd get him?! I'm not certain how attractive we'd be to be honest. You say about the last few years (I've loved every min) BUT from an outsiders point of view we've established ourselves in the league and had a jaunt in Europe. On the flip side of which we
have limited transfer budgets oh and by the way within that you need to consider the names from group A as your transfer options?! Nuno was Mendes first ever client so he trusts him, how many other (random) managers have that luxury?! More than that how many of THOSE managers would feel comfortable staking their success in the job on Mendes word when it comes to a signing, I suspect it's VERY few to be honest! For most TOP managers they just don't need to accept these kinds of limitations! So when I say I think there aren't many better managers that would work in the current set up which would be a step up then I've yet to see a name which would disprove that to be honest?

I'm worried the decision will be taken out of Nuno's hands. He got it wrong today, badly wrong, he has enough in the bank to come out and say as much but instead he moans about the ref. That's a worrying sign.

For me the Semedo experiment is over I think he needs to be taken out of the firing line. Being dropped may kick his ass into gear.

I never played football at the top level but played all my youth and adult years until injury forced retirement. The best and most effective training we ever did was 1/ 2 pitch attack vs defence. Over and over and over again, now I'm sure they're doing that but what are they honestly practicing? Surely they work on trying to break down 6,7,8 men behind the ball?! Take some risks!

I think losing Raul is papering over other issues, let's not forget we weren't prolific before his injury. Our attacking style is stale.

And if I see 1 more short corner I'm going f*cking explode!

Moutinho needs dropping. I've seen fans get on Neves' back about a lack of goals but I can forgive that, for me he's a quarter back and needs to dictate games. Is it his fault or is our movement poor? I'm not sure it's hard to tell on TV.

I'm furious tonight. I'm 10000% behind Nuno and still believe he was our best signing this summer, but he needs to answer serious criticisms and think long and hard about which direction he wants to take us.

I say it over and over again but for me the solution to our attacking woes is simple. Play a number 10. Play someone who does not go wider than the width of the 18 yard box and get runners off them. For me that should be Podence or Vitinha. Neves and dendonker behind, with Silva and Neto as a 2 or add Podence as a 3. Give us a proper link between defence and attack.

If we score more we will win more simple. The defence can be sorted after.

Sorry for the rant, really hacked off!
