Saiss in midfield is a great shout, Marcal has to play, though. Great win for u23s ( v boggies ) , brilliant second half! FWAW.

Credit where credits due. A few weeks ago I watched U23 team lose to Sunderland, with a lacklustre display in which NOBODY came out of the game with credit. I posted as such, saying I didn’t see anyone who would be pushing for first team squad.
Watched second half of today’s match against the Baggies. 2 - 1 down at half time and rightly so according to commentator. Hard to believe that however as second half sonWolves totally dominant. Confidence surged throughout and could really have been an even bigger margin in the end. Just as nobody emerged with credit in the last game I watched it is good to report that everyone of those players did themselves proud in the second half. Add to that the. Moments from Tom Pope, veteran Port Vale player, who was full of praise for our U21 team in the Papa John tie. Norrow defeat in the end but he said they couldn’t get a look in for large parts of that game given our excellent, well drilled system.
That system and the one deployed ball our teams is our DNA: three centre backs and wing backs!

Interesting. Saiss in Mid - well he can't do worse.
Tend to agree with Preston re Marcal so perhaps push Neto forward drop Silva and bring Marcal into LWB
V v defensive but against Chelsea in our current form maybe not so daft.

Got to understand our u23s are mostly 18 year olds, except Oscar Buur. Some really great potential there, hope it's not wasted! One that's a bit under the radar is Bueno at LWB, very good. With Zivchenko, again, back in Nuno's sights, how many left-backs do we need? Goalscorers, PLEASE! COYW.

I'm remembering Saiss against Sheffield United our first game of this season he got forward on the counter attack unlucky with a good strike at goal with his sweet left peg maybe Saiss plays in a back 3 and becomes the extra man on the counter attack.

If and it is a big if, we were to buy Zinchenko, it would be as centre midfielder. Plays there for Ukraine and looks good, with a goal threat. Knows his way around the Premier League with plenty of experience. Question mark over fitness as he has had some time on the sidelines with injuries. His. chances at Man City are probably less than when we previously tried to buy him, so more likely to join this time around. Could do a lot worse.
