Hi not been on for a while, well in fact at least a year, hope all is well with you all, would just like to view my concerns with regards Neves, not sure what is going on with him, if it's nuno wanting him to sit deep or his confidence, I know championship is a different level but he would at least get a bit more further afield plus shoot and score worldies, he is coming to a age where he has to start stamping his authority on games and dictating more, I know there is a class player in there somewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nuno seems to want all his players to sit deep, with top class International players in every position there can be no excuse for playing in such fashion, surely you have to set your team up to at least try to win especially at home, where every failure to win is 2 or 3 points dropped, no matter who the opposition is. Two out of our four wins have come against promoted clubs and another against a team who can't score goals and find themselves bottom of the table,9 goals scored in 9 games is only better than teams in the bottom 4. Beginning to think that maybe it's Nuno and his coaches who've run out of ideas and even Mick McCarthy and TC could come up with something better.

Hi Tibbsy the Neves issue had been a problem for quite a while and is frequently discussed on the forum. I think it’s s a confidence problem as he seems content to amble through games without contributing anything positive. Like you say why not play him in a more advanced role where he could create more and have shots at goal. His dip in form has cost him his place in the Portugal side as he’s been an unused sub for a while now. We could do with an inform Reuben to rejuvenate the side 🤞.

Hi All the above posts so true, its hard to understand why, Neves shots from the just outside the penalty area don't happen, its got to be a coaching thing, thought Nuno could improve a player Neves seems to have gone backwards,
if he went to another team I'm sure they would bring the best out of him at the moment he is not doing his self justice.

Its a big problem midfield we are short of options, only hope January window can help, although its not usually a very good trans window for buying.

Hi all, all is well Tibbsy thnks.
I think the C.V. no crowds all what has happened with travel etc etc is having more of an effect on our players
We have a team full of top internationals who are getting matched by lesser players upping their games.
When football is back to normal you watch us go all our players are top players because they perform on the big stage.
Just a thought to add to the mix.

Seriously, Phil, get a grip. Other teams have as much, and maybe more, internationals than wolves. Believe it or not, they also have no crowds at their games. Go figure.

Ok Belfast you must not understand where I was coming from.
I'm not going to bother trying to explain where I was coming from as you clearly think I'm talking codswallop.
But I assure you I wasn't i'm just too thick to know how to write a clear account of my thinking.

The current situation is affecting a lot of players the lack of crowds make every match feel like a training session, many players have said this Belfastwolf a quick search will tell you this, several have also stated this in interviews.
Phil was spot on with his post.

Quite right phil I said before season started wed see strange things because of empty grounds man u v spurs the vile v Liverpool two results that wouldn't of happened under normal circumstances. Concentration nerves and energy are fed by a crowd.

It was nice to wake up this morning and see I'm not talking rubbish.
Saying that I bought my brother a loaf of bread and instead of saying thanks phil he said they have missed a letter off your name:
THICK CUT.
Ha ha.

My point is, Rated, abbywolf et al, we are all in the same boat! We all know about home advantage brings out the best in our teams, but Wolves aren't disadvantaged more than Any other team! It's a level playing field is what I'm pointing out.

{Ed001's Note - not all, Hasenhuttl even publicly admitted his team are better off without fans in the stadiums as the pressure is off them.}

26 Nov 2020 10:56:28
Does that mean I still need to get a grip Befast?
You missing the point and made out I'm talking nonsense does Rated and abby need to get a grip too?
The feed was about neves not shooting not getting forward it's a perfectly good possibility that some players don't perform to their potential when there's the crowd others like neves (who was the youngest player to captain a champions league team) do, and with no crowds our players like neves may be finding it hard to adjust.
Just a thought that's all I was posting.

TBF no fans makes no difference to man utd or man city as their fans are silent anyway so they have an advantage :P.

26 Nov 2020 15:22:47
I always thought that they should have piped fan noises through the PA system like they do at the cricket. Players there said it was better than playing in silence.
