Looking ahead to Liverpool, they have more defensive woes. I would like to see Adama in the front 3 along with Neto and Jimenez. Marcel as our lwb Semedo on the right with Neves and Dendonker in the middle. Coady, Kilman and Boly at the back. Hopefully we will sieze upon their defensive frailties.

We have Southampton and Arsenal first mate.
Those two won't be a walk in the park.

They won't be a walk but I reckon we can grind out a result.

Three decent teams but if we get some points it shows we can compete the prem seems to have a few potential top 6 teams this season.

We are no where near consistent and hitting top form and yet we had the best start points wise ever in the premier league.
When we get consistent whether it's this season or next season we will have a chance of success.
This season is too unpredictable to hazard a guess where we will be but definite too good not to be in top ten.

Phil we may have 13 points from 8 games our best start in the Prem but last year those 8 games gave us 17 points - beat WH and MC and drew with Lei but lost at SU. { I swap Leeds for Norwich and Fulham for Bournemouth) so you could argue we are actually doing v badly.
Indeed at 0.5 points less per game this year compared with last year if we repeat this form for the rest of he year we drop 19 points from last year and will be in the relegation battle!
Whilst I don't think that will happen and it is not time to panic yet I don't think we can be complacent
We are playing badly as Nuno acknowledges and aren't taking our chances. However we do have enough quality in the side to turn it around and that needs to start now as the next few games are pretty tough and our points total may not look as healthy in 6 weeks time if we don't!
Sorry to be negative but its a long time to January when we can put right the mistakes made in the summer.

Good post I think I was still thinking a few weeks back concerning our best start.
It's going to be an up and down season I think.
It's going to be frustrating I think aswell we play well against palace have over a week on the training ground then play poor against Leicester.
I'm sure we will hit a consistent run at some point.
You can never post anything bad in reply to me because you never have.
😀.

Good call Phill like you say a week on the training ground and play like a Sunday league team in the first half, why do we consistently play so poor in the first half of games, you would think it would have been sorted by now (except the Palace and Sheffield Utd game) we have become very predictable. Maybe it’s time to start Traore and Moutinho and play at a higher tempo. Also some players need to contribute more, Neves by his very high standards hasn’t been firing on all cylinders for a while now, can’t remember the last time he scored and seems to pass more backwards and across than forwards these days. Tough game to come against the Saints who seem full of confidence and scoring goals.
