In the modern game the “number 10” has become the most important position, a playmaker / link man who chips in with at least ten goals a season, we all know who the ultimate number 10 is in World football and while we can’t all have a “Messi” ( or a Jotta) it would be a good idea to admit that the position exists, does anyone know ; Who is Wolves No 10?

Given time and patience, Fabio Silva.

27 Oct 2020 17:16:35
Podence I believe at present is our number 10 in the free role.
Podence didn't play bad against Newcastle imo. He had plenty of the ball and his quality was there to see. Other top players and teams struggle to break down teams that park the bus.

PHIL - Snap (see my [lengthy] post below)

27 Oct 2020 18:37:50
I just read it mate (Thefutureisoldgold)
The first half at Sheffield utd podence played the free role and we had a result.
To me this season so far to me it's like we're nearly there a couple of slight better judgements from our players and we all could be revelling in our results but we aren't so the debate continues till the team get it right.
I may sound black and white but football, results, performances can change on a sixpence.
I believe it's going to come where nuno wants his team to win with quality play and performance but not just yet.

Phil - indeed just a small tweak - we are close and this could be the year - we have waited long enough haven't we!
ps how is the walking - I was given walking boots for my retirement gift having bored people silly about a holiday last year in the dales- and now try to get out and find somewhere beautiful and interesting to walk either with the wife or with friends a couple of times a week!

Walking is sound we just did a local walk Sunday me and my brother.
A few years back my brother nearly died but is in recovery now his fitness is ok but as it was a brain anorisim his mental health needs more time.
Before my brothers challenge we both walked together on weekends bridge north peak district lake district.
We have done the 3 peaks not the challenge all at separate times .
Snowdon on my 40th scafal pike year later then the big one Ben nevis
I used to be in a ramblers group and still am a member as the yearly fee goes towards the up keep of the public footpaths.
This sunday I'm having a wander around sutton park with my boss.
I implore you to get out there in the countryside the list of places are endless you could have a gentle 5 km walk with a lovely lunch at the end of it.
I joined ramblers group when I was losing my mom it nearly ruined me and I was on self destruct mode. I took the bold step and replied to an ad in the local community magazine to a ramblers group the youngest there was 65 years old I was 39 and I made some great friends and it turned my life around at that time.
Lol I took my brother 1 time he didn't like the old uns but I got to like talking whilst walking with all of them.
Church stretton a place of natural beauty that's a good walk it was a while back we done that one you could try that one.
A suggestion get Julia Bradbury dvd walking Britain .
You can find all the best walks online.
👍.

Britain's best walks with Julua Bradbury ITV hub🦶🦶🦶.

27 Oct 2020 21:20:36
Phil - brilliant response ( v sorry to hear about your brother and glad he is on the right road) . Sounds like you are a bit more of a walker than me - I tend to look forward to the coffee/ beer/ lunch as much as the walk and tend to want to see something as well - a castle/ cathedral/ waterfall what ever!
Ps you know you are getting old when policemen look younger, gardening becomes interesting and Julia Bradbury is your idea of a pin up!

27 Oct 2020 21:32:57
Ha ha your right mate.
There was no better feeling than being on the summit of a mountain.
I just had a thought you and wife or friends could do snowdon everyone walks up it except you and you go up on the train ha ha and they all join you in the cafe on the summit.

27 Oct 2020 21:42:42
Phil - pps glad you are happy to talk to the old guys or we couldn't converse!

27 Oct 2020 21:46:14
Thanks for kind words for my brother 👍
We were both bought up from our dad being a wolves fan who was a
teenager in the 50's heyday.
We both want wolves to get close to what our dad saw in the 50's in our lifetime.
For us for wolves and for our dad.

Phil quite a way to go then. Best team in the world some say during the 50s!
Like your idea re North Wales - I used to go to Chester occasionally for work and its a lovely City, (went to the races there as well once), but never did all the castles round the North coast. Maybe next year - when hopefully C.V. will be a thing of the past [PLEASE] the wife and I could do a long weekend there. This year we did Norwich, (having read both CJ Sansom's Tombland and Ellie Griffith's Chalk pit both books set in Norwich) and it was great v old worldly - rather like Chester but with a much nicer Cathedral. Our only other break was a couple of days on Exmoor - def good walking there!

28 Oct 2020 06:35:35
Nice one.
This conversation has inspired me.
Next year like you say please for this c. v. to go away, I'm going round the country. I want to do the Lizard in Cornwall the black mountains in Wales.
It's a pleasure to talk to you and anyone other wolves fan however old.

Phone prediction🤔 talk to you and any other wolves fan.

28 Oct 2020 10:39:53
Phil - stayed on the lizard a few years ago - one of if not the last house in the village.
v small place and v isolated at end of an isthmus with only one road in and out (RAF Helston at the top of the road) but loads to see and do if you are willing to put up with tiny lanes and slow driving.
If you like the theatre then the Minack ( between lizard and land's end ) is amazing- google it!
ps - up early - work?

28 Oct 2020 11:37:41
Yes I was up early for work.
The work is coming through the ceiling from one extreme to the other which is brilliant.
I will have a look at the Lizard tonight when I got time.
Cheers.

Hi Thefutureisoldgold try the peak district fore your walks its realy nice

Les Buxton Wolf.

29 Oct 2020 00:04:18
Les - been to Bakewell is that the Peak district? But otherwise don't think I have been. Buxton is quite a classy place isn't it? Is there an Opera house?
tks - another place for the list!
Better talk about footie some times as well or we be in trouble!
ps hope Kilman keeps his place now as just bought him in Fantasy Footie - at 4.1 suspect he might be cheapest player in game who actually plays!
But would like to see a more pacey LWB with a more attacking bent alongside him this week as CP will also park the bus and look to Zaha to get something for them on the break.
CP, Brighton and Newcastle are teams we have traditionally struggled with but we need to get 12+ points from the 6 games if we are seriously looking to break in to the upper echelons - which this year with Leicester, Everton and maybe even WH could stretch down to 10th+!

29 Oct 2020 15:53:52
Hi Oldgold Bakewell is in the peak district l think youd like Buxton Caselton etc l recon Max has cemented his place in the side good cb cemedo looks a good rwb getting better each game hoping for three points tommorow take care mate

COUW.

29 Oct 2020 19:25:25
Les - been on a site called " visit Buxton" - the fact there is one I suppose is enough in itself to prove your point - and you are right Buxton looks great and indeed classy.

Makes me think of Bath?

29 Oct 2020 20:20:55
Oldgold never been to Bath regards Buxton its just another spa town we definatly don't think its classy LoL hope you get to see it sometime got a good feeling about tommorow start like we did against Shef Untd and three points

Old gold and les.
Fantastic the form of Kilman, I think marcel will replace saiss tonight not sure if Traore will start but I think possibly if he does start he will replace Neto.
Not sure whether to pay £14.95 tonight (If it is pay per view) it's a chance for me and brother to have a fun night together.
The Lizard what interests me is the cliff walks meant to be awesome views. that's what I like walking seeing the views. Maybe when I get to your age I will return and go to the theatre.
Best regards old gold and les and fingers crossed we have a good match and result tonight.

Ps I have been to the Grand in Wolverhampton I saw beauty and the beast my first and only time to the theatre, I took my mom for her birthday about 10 years ago 😀.

30 Oct 2020 15:31:16
Phil - the cliff walks are fantastic.
The Minack is a theatre carved into the cliff face with the stage a ledge half way down the cliff - behind it the sea. So even if the play is boring you can watch the magnificent scenery and the activity in the ocean!
We saw the Tempest - a play by the Bard that takes place in a storm - one night there in the pouring rain and wind. Magic!
However we were camping and everything I owned was drenched by the following morning - not so magical!

30 Oct 2020 15:32:14
Phil - have to be careful or we could be barred for turning the site into a travel site!
