I thought I'd wait a bit and think about it before I commented but I still think the same as I did last night!
I looked pretty but it was pedestrian and predictable. On top all game not making any forward movement with any real pace. After 60 minutes take Podence off for Traore also predictable! Why not move Podence to the left and take Saiss off? Not that he was playing badly just doing what he was told.
At the end get mugged! Stupid free kick, not that it was tbh. Nuno blamed the wall, actually I watched it Patricio set it's location. It was a good free kick mind you. Definitely 2 points given away through a lack of ambition for me. We are better than that!
I watched the Arsenal game after and to be fair they were no better. It looked pretty and achieved buggar all except of course they lost, mugged more than us.
We should have won easy but you need more urgency it no good picking it up when they score late. We should have been out of sight by then. Hoping for much better against Palace! COYW.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with most of what you say Ken but, Nuno picks the team so do you think it's his fault. I think Nuno as an ex goalkeeper knows that wall wasn't right. As an ex goalkeeper myself it's obvious there should have been another man on the end of the wall. I agree it wasn't just about the free kick though, we need the midfield to connect with the front three better, we can't keep them pinned in.

There was a lot of skill on show, but I think this needs to develop into more attacking urgency. We will have a lot of teams come and sit back, and we have to punish them, or they will steal a goal and take points from us.

Totally agree! We were much too slow in the build-up-also too predictable. I would have Traore start.

What is most poignant, is, that this could be the tightest Premier league for some considerable time and Champions league places are up for grabs. However playing this conservative, pedestrian football won't get us into one of those places. If we miss out-and if we miss out to say Villa-I don't think Nuno will have any excuses. I understand he is still experimenting, but the lack of incisive play is a concern. It's no good the manager coming out saying other players than Jimenez need to chip in when those players need 50 passes and 50 touches to create an opening when five will do.

Good reading all your thoughts on the match.
Let's hope we get a win and more of an attacking threat against Palace.
