We need a right wing back ASAP. before the city gam. Adama is just a liability there., . nearly cost us a few goals and really put boly under presssure.

Ironic really Traore brilliant going forwards but can't defend and the new chap Marcal seems v solid defensively but seems to give us nothing going forwards.
Sadly this doesn't balance out! We have gone from a situation where WBs was a strength in the team to one where they are clearly the weakest part?
Def need to get a new RWB in sharpish!
Also Dendonker isn't great as part of a two in mid as he can't hold the ball and pass like Neves.
For periods yesterday we struggled to hold on of the ball and invited pressure - can't do that against better teams. If I am being v negative Boly was also guilty of too many poor passes although otherwise he was strong.
But all in all still v happy - really like Podence Traore Jimenez front 3 and CC and rest of back line looked really solid once Traore was moved out of the firing line
Great start and really should have won by more!

Look mate he's just standing in for now, agree we need to get a RB before city game, I'm sure ones in the pipeline.

Agree totally, got caught wrong side numerous times and when out of position, meandered back. Still frustrated by his inability to find space when playing further forward, always receiving the ball when stood still rather than on the move. He used to vary his play more but now ALWAYS goes outside when wide, rather than mixing it up a bit. When more central and in the final third always opts for a shot from around 20/ 25 yards. Option was on to run past last defender last night or slip Jiménez in with simple pass BUT chose to shoot every time.
Sounds like I don’t rate him but I do. He’s a match winner but could be so much better.

Boly was a bit wobbly I felt last night but it's only our first game of the season and already we have 3 points more than we did last season.
Sheff UTD are a tough team 2-0 was a good result imo.

Ecosse Wolf love the post - v passionate. I have faith he will get better and become a superstar for us but as you say he just needs a bit more belief to really drive at people rather than settle for a long shot
Grey leg - completely accept that, just disappointed we didn't plan ahead well enough at RWB.
Not sure Marcal is anything other than a LCB/ LB either rather than a genuine LWB but that doesn't matter if system is tweaked to allow for that - Otto was not as progressive as the other chap ( I'm not allowed to mention any more! ) either.

Doherty did amazing job for us over ten years spent with Wolves, especially since arrival of Nuno. Scored and created regularly and could defend. Especially strong in air in both boxes. However he wasn’t the finished product. His first game at Spurs showcased his best attributes and also the areas of relative weakness. His ability to arrive late and undetected in opposition box was his main strength but his poor conversion rate is an issue. Although he has a fantastic engine, he sometimes gets caught out of position too high upfield and ‘lumbers’ back into his defensive position. This trait is biggest problem in Spurs system as they play with a back four and there is no natural cover in place as there was with our back three/ five.
AMN looks like a ready made replacement and in little glimpses in recent Arsenal games he has appeared, out of nowhere in opposition box. Not picked out by their forwards who were probably not expecting him to be there. Another plus is that he is deceptively quick. A bid of £23 to £25 million would surely secure his signature. Need to move quickly before they cash in on someone else for money they need for Thomas Partey.

I said a few weeks ago that I'd like to see Oscar Buur given a chance think he will be great in the future and save us a load buying someone in.
