We should have gone further when we signed Andy Gray. Dave Thomas followed but he didn't work out. Then John Barnwell wanted Platini and Boniek but the club was going into freefall financially. Unfortunately no one outside the club knew at the time. Shame.

My lasting memory of big Steve was an away game I was at against West Ham. He broke from our half on a break all on his own going like a train. Half way there only the keeper to beat trod on the ball and went a**e over t*t. Still thought he was great though!

Man City paid nearly all of it for Andy Gray. Which was very nice of them. 😂😂😂.
