So here we are at the crossroads.
Does Nuno stay or go?
Does he stick or twist?
Last season we overachieved fact.
To improve the squad we have to spend big.
But we can't we won't.
As things stand we won't finish seventh next season no way.
I wouldn't say we're going backwards but we ain't going forward, teams around us and above us are strengthening and reinventing themselves.
Nuno has to be strong, bold, compete and believe in the project
So as fans what would you do, stick or twist.
Sell to raise the funds to freshen up the squad or stick with the current squad.
Is he the man to gamble I hope so.
The same squad will go backwards in terms of touching the top six, watching Europa league football let alone CL football was to me a real eye opener Olympiacos technically were light years ahead of us and very unlucky over the two legs.
Would love the thoughts of others.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree realist. I get criticised on here but see a season of struggle. Other teams are overtaking us.

Arsenal and Chelsea are the only teams who have strengthened their team significantly. Man City have merely replaced outgoing players such as Silva and Sane. Man U ain't signed anyone yet. Leicester have just lost Chilwell and Spurs signing Hojberg and Hart is hardly earth shattering. Other teams will indeed add some players and move others on but so will Wolves. All PL bar us, Man U and Man City are back in pre season so 17 teams have a chance to get potential signings to talk directly with the club manager. As Jeff Shi said last week, he and his team are working night and day identifying the right players to come in and become part of our project. I think that although Shi can sell the vision, meeting Nuno is vital.

My thoughts
Anything can happen in football good or bad.
Our first 2 seasons back in the premier we have done brilliantly and the envy of the nation for what we have done.
To me we have the backbone and nucleus of a top table competing team. Adding quality to take us further is never going to be easy and it's never a certainty we will or any other team will get it right.
To me everyone is on board within the club from md to manager to kit man to players and its not a want of trying to get the success we all crave.
To me it's a question of thinking we'll get it right a lot more than we won't. But to me it's really really hard to be consistent with results. The players we get in will be the ones the club think will make us better so I for one will maintain full faith we will have another good season. Since nuno we haven't had a major crisis until then I don't worry about something that hasn't happened.

AMN clearly wants to sign for Wolves £20 million clearly we can do the deal.
We bid 15 and open the doors for others.
We are playing at this.
Jez has left the building (hasn’t he)
Times they are a changin
Things are not sitting right🧐.

Good post Phil
But if we finish In 10th to 12th do you see that as progress?

26 Aug 2020 19:52:36
Good question.
I would honestly say in the short term not progress but would think we go again the following season.
The only thing I see that would have more reason for finishing 10th or 12th would be 2or3 crippling injuries in key areas not so much what other teams have signed top players. I base this on how much Everton west ham spent and both under achieved.
I see clearly where other posters are saying I just haven't seen anything like the players and manager we have in my 40 odd years watching wolves. I'm fully prepared if things don't go to plan and will take the gut wrenching feeling of dispair admirably.

Oops forgot to mention this.
Critics last summer said wolves will struggle in the league by qualifying for the early stages of the europa league on top of that a trip to China. we kicked those critics into touch having also 2 major signings not working out. Jesus and cotrone.
Odds were stacked against us and we delivered. This is where a big part of my faith in us comes from.
Thinking because of the near miss of champions league qualification and europa league fans may have lost sight of how well nuno and the players did the season just gone.

There are some absolute rain clouds on this site we could win the F. A cup and one of them would pop up and say yeah but we’re not top 4 let’s face facts 4 years ago if someone said we would be in the position we are now we would of bit there hand off yes we all want a couple of new faces and I’m sure whoever comes in will be good signings let’s drop the negativity.
