Well, the images of the new top going around a few weeks ago were true. Not a fan of the arms. I'll give the home top a miss this year and see what the away top looks like.

He's not he is making an observation as to why he thinks Fosun will not spend money to break into the top 4. I can accept that but they need to spend to freshen up a tired squad in order not to struggle. For me Boly has lost form Jota is not up to it anymore and Saiss needs replacing.

SQ, I understand your concerns but remember 2 years ago, a lot of fans thought we weren't going to aquire the signings needed to compete in the PL then we signed Patricio, Moutinho, Jimenez, Dendoncker and Traore. Last season we managed to sign Neto, Jordao and Shabani of which the latter two have seen their progress halted because of injury. We don't need an overhaul, probably 2 defenders and 1 striker. Midfield should be OK with Neves, Moutinho, Saiss, Dendoncker, Jordao, Shabani to choose from.

Just imagine if we were to bring in just players this summer. Ruben Dias and Philipe Coutinho. Entirely possible as Coutinho will not be extending his loan at Bayern, Barcelona don't want him but won't sell him for less than £90m which most clubs in the PL won't pay. He says he wants a return to the PL so if Barcelona are open to a deal where they contribute to his wages, he might be approachable.

What we need to acknowledge is the amount of games we've played so far. The odd players going to go thru a quiet period. With the amount of players in squad I'm not surprised. On their day boly saiss Jota invaluable just like the rest of team.

I like Jota, but his decision making is not great. He is at his best when running at defences, but when it comes to the pass or shot he has seemed to pause a lot this year and the chance is gone.
The biggest issue we have is Nuno thinks Traore can play wing back.

Think it worth considering the the virus effect on football everything changed in to the unknown. From what the experts said about the better quality teams having an advantage there was only Arsenal out the usual big 6 clubs who didn't finish in the top 6.To me it shows we are 7th 2 seasons in a row we have nearly top 6 quality. From starting as promoted team cementing 2 7th place finish is good. Hoping next season when/ if football is back to normal things will happen to ease the worries of fans.
To be honest the threat of a second outbreak of the virus is of top concern to me at the moment.

OK SQ I thought it was dead and buried at the time I posted. But I have seen Mike Ashley say otherwise later on today. I thought first thing this morning it would be good for you thinking the deal was a definite not happening. But like you and others have been posting a lot of things didn't go our way in the end of the season.
I have faith we will be fine next season.
