Bit of a late reply jas m . as you were baiting me for my opinion. my thoughts to that situation is that England live in the shadows of America and try to copy cat everything they do if there prime minister jumped off a cliff ours would too . when something tragic happens in the UK can you imagine a basket ball team nealing eerrmm no. I honestly thought when I seen the picture that it was for the NHS or for the thousands that have passed. not to say what happend were tragic and wrong but we don't have to get involved in something that doesn't happen in our own country.

Agree0 Disagree0

I weren't baiting you Coven. I'm genuinely interested in peoples views. You're right though, USA is very different to the UK.

USA may be different, but we still copy? Prom night, Halloween and Black Friday etc,

Well said Paul. We are infested by that country.

One thing we keep real is it's football not soccer.
Had a heated discussion with some yanks on holiday in Mexico back in the day football is not played with a rugby ball and players don't wear helmets and body pads.
Also I can't see Boris advising us to drink a bottle of dettle.

Phil. I wouldn't be so sure. Boris is almost as idiotic as Trump.

I deplore racism but we are in a viral virus the selfish protestors are in the same category as the selfish beachcombers. My predictions are there will be a spike going above R. I also think that because of this football will become like a lot of issues, victim of another lockdown. Project restart will start then after a couple of games be cancelled for good.

{Ed033's Note - How about this; the government stays out of football and the footballers stay away from politics and all of us that have normal immune systems can go outside as we wish regardless of [Lies, damned lies, and statistics] and the few people with poor immune systems can stay inside as they normally do anyway.

I'll take my chances with my immune system just like i'll take my chances driving a car.

My point is Ed and it's not a criticism of you but we are in a lockdown to protect each other and stop this virus spreading. Being selfish ain't got stop anything.

{Ed033's Note - Don't you know that the UK government say on their own web site:
"As of 19 March 2020, COVID-19 is no longer considered to be a high consequence infectious disease (HCID) in the UK" - From UK Gov web site

Fingers crossed the football season is completed SQ
FWAW.

Here's hoping Phil. In reply to ed that is typical of this government and its irresponsibility rhetoric. On the football front it will be interesting to see which teams will have regained their form and which teams completely lose momentum. Hopefully not us, but lockdown has effectively produced a close season reminiscent of times gone by.
