I know people will say we've come a long way in a short time but i'm surprised many think we're improving, a few facts ; won only 8 from 25 played, won only 4 from 12 at home (last season won 10) Villa, Bournemouth& Palace have won 7,conceded 1st goal 9 times at home 5 times within 15 minutes and 8 times away, not beat anyone in the top half of the table except Man City (twice) their goalkeeper was sent off at the Mol after 12 mins, . team who we supposed to rival for top 4 or at least 6 (Leicester) have won 15 games, we don't look likely to match last season's points tally, only Raul scores regularly (midfielders are allowed to score) also out of both domestic cups before the end of January without showing much intent and are equal bottom of the current form table level with Palace, by the end of the season I think we'll be glad there's at least 3 teams worse than us, some fans are talking about going to the next level, we need to improve enormously to get back to last season's level.

Couldn't resist revisiting for a one off after reading Oxley Ron comments. You need to be careful Ron because you will be criticised for making an absolutely nailed on piece of observation. Some fans just cannot see it though. You make some stark and correct points. Sad to say.

Trying for more negative self justification SQ. Each season is different and perfomance is based on how the team does vs the opposition. Don't forget the Europa League and it's demands.

A few more facts 'last season' was 38 games we are currently on 25 so there is in fact time to equal or even surpass the majority of those stats quoted!
Is it REALLY surprising or news even that we are behind a Lec team that have been playing in the Prem for three times as long and have won a league? I would also point out that Lec teams Telus heavily on Varfy ya know in the same way we do. with our. main striker! And yeah I would say this season's an improvement cause we are doing it all whilst competing in Europe not easy as any other fan that's been there would tell you! It's fine to have a different opinion on the season (of course it is) but at least Oxleys making a reasoned argument! I disagree with the point but at least you can see he's taking a reasoned approach rather than just posting negatively to any given situation! Still saying Podence is never happening are we SQ?! I wonder which will happen first him signing or us getting relegated?! 🤣.

Also Oxley you must show me when and who from the club said 'we were supposed to rival top four' no one has EVER said that! In fact Nuno refuses to discuss as he sees it so entirely futile for a club in the second season in the league! As per he ain't wrong!

Last time but I would 'also' take MASSIVE issue with you taking away from the City result by saying about the sending off! We won more comfortably at their place against 11 men so I am uncertain of the relevance! Cause again the phrasing of that point is very selective do you remember WHY the keeper was sent off? I do it was because Jota was about to skip round him just 12 mins into the match! So your right the sending off probs does explain the result cause without it we may have won by a few clear goals! C'mon Oxley, let the team have some credit eh ;)

Ok this REALLY is the last one but C'mon "I think we'll be glad there's at least 3 teams worse than us" did we drop down to 17th over night?! I think you'll find there are ALREADY at least 12 teams worse than us!

I'm as disappointed as anyone and was only pointing out that we are only winning one game in three, while draws keep the points tally moving in the right direction and an away draw is always a good point but surely we can't carry on employing the same tactics at home, eight teams have all walked away from Molineux with at least a point this season, it's become a standing joke now as we take our seats we're going to go a goal down, while we watch what the opposition are going to do, think we all know already how Leicester will start in our next match. I thought comparison with Leicester (previous post) was quite fair given that only four players from their amazing season are still regularly in their team, they've changed manager three times, their current manager hasn't yet been in charge for a full season, questionable if any of their players would make our team and players they've signed have less Premier league experience than our lads, except Ryan Bennett who in all probability will be playing in the Champions league next season (strange one that) oh and Jonny Evans. yeah but we are playing in Europe.

Oxley Moor. You're definitely the 'glass is half empty type' mate. We beat the champions home and away. We gave the future champions their toughest tests of the season. Klopp said so. We're not afraid of anyone. We've upgraded the squad by quality rather than quantity. We're in the knockout stages of Europe. We're out of the two cup competitions that are meaningless to us this season as we are concentrating on the PL and the Europa League. Unlike last season, we are in with a realistic chance of top six if not top four, plus Europe.

We have definitely improved on last season mate!

SQ, You couldn't resist adding yet another negative dig in one way or another.

Thing is Oxley you are seeing our performance like we are playing in a standardised league and football just doesn't work like that! Half the reason things are harder this season is BECAUSE how good we were last season. Teams aren't turning up to Mol anymore intent on playing there own game against little old Wolves! Look at Chelsea they played a flat back 5 when they came (they have hardly used the same system since) cause they knew if they turned up with an open game plan they would get beat! It shows how far we've come because teams are coming to us with a specific game plan on how to play US (rather than the other way round as you might expect) . This is why peeps don't seem to appreciate just how hard it is to move into the top four, it takes seasons of quality growth! As for Lec I think they are having a similar season to us last year as in they are catching teams out, let's see if they finish in the top four two seasons in a row I suspect they will not! COYW 👍.
