i don't think they will have lampard it will be a yes man mr shi as aready bought sylva who h is good enough for the preimuer i nearly fell off the chair laughing my dad took me to watch wolves playing honved and real madrid best team in the world we kept the players along time now mr shi thinks that is wrong so if he does buy the players i'm glad nuno has gone all we are going to be is a selling club my club for so long i'm so sad now.

Did you have one too many sherrys when you typed this mate?

Bit early in the day for booze Rated. Must have had a skin full last night!

I think the problem is not the players its Nuno what about Jotta he can play any where in the front line look at the goals he is scoring nuno didn't know that.

albrightonwolf

1.) 31 Mar 2021 10:07:17
Nuno didn't know Jota could play anywhere along the front line? So why over the 3 seasons he was with us did he play on the left, right and indeed the centre. Or is that not the entire front line.

He was used predominantly on the left to supply Jimenez who is the one who cannot play any other position along the front line. The main reason why he was used on the left however is because he is a left winger.

2.) 01 Apr 2021 14:13:43
Nuno is not flexible in what he allows players to do and that is why Adama will thrive when he leaves.
Same with Cutrone. And Mir. And Goncalves.

{Ed077's Note - Adama is bang average and that is not in any part due to Nuno. IMO}

3.) 01 Apr 2021 15:24:20
Thank you for your input Ed077. I'm sure the top teams in Europe who are thinking of trying to acquire him will stop based on your insight.

{Ed077's Note - they should😁😁. He's nowhere near as good as the media hyped him up to be. Very inconsistent end product.

4.) 01 Apr 2021 15:26:40
If you think not adjusting the team formation to account for three people watching Adama is not Nuno's doing, or will not change the fortunes of Wolves, then I'm afraid you don't know too much about sports.

{Ed077's Note - I probably don't.

5.) 01 Apr 2021 15:51:08
I was watching one game and one commentator said that, in fairness to Adama, three people were watching him. The other one immediately said how that means there is more open space on the rest of the pitch.
Can you tell me what Nuno has done to take advantage of that extra space elsewhere because I have trouble seeing it on the television.
Do you think it is Adama's responsibility to tell his teammates where to be in that extra space or is it Nuno's?

{Ed077's Note - I think it's up to the players just as much.

6.) 01 Apr 2021 16:15:30
You clearly don't know how Nuno operates if you think players can be running around outside of where he tells them to go - which is one of his weaknesses.

{Ed077's Note - probably I don't.

7.) 01 Apr 2021 16:34:43
TimmyT, I doubt you knew anything about Goncalves before he moved back to Portugal. Just because he's doing well now doesn't mean we should have kept him when he clearly wasn't good enough. De Bruyne and Salah at Chelsea spring to mind.

8.) 02 Apr 2021 11:47:13
There's only one person on this post who doesn't know anything about sports Timmy, and it certainly isn't Ed077.

9.) 03 Apr 2021 11:22:32
I don't think Traore is average. He just doesn't look happy this year. Had a great season last year, but started behind Podence and Neto at start if the season. Another strange decision from Nuno. How to deflate a good player. He certainly wasn't bang average when he put the Spain shirt on.

{Ed077's Note - In my opinion he is. It's just an opinion. He has game changing ability but no consistency at all to be any better than average IMO. A bit like Nani for Man Utd.

10.) 03 Apr 2021 13:39:53
It depends how you use him. He needs to be told to just go at full backs to get the best out of him, which is when he looks unplayable.

11.) 04 Apr 2021 09:14:35
One commentator compared Traore to a learner driver driving a Ferrari.

12.) 04 Apr 2021 18:49:01
Traore will be like Jota, Wolves fans won't appreciate what they have until he's gone.

13.) 05 Apr 2021 18:12:57
I for one, can't wait to find out Ray :)

Seems 9 out of 10 games a waste of a spot, we could have had a footballer playing in his position.

14.) 05 Apr 2021 20:44:23
Who! Look at Wolves bench and the under 23s, no one in sight. To be honest though the defence is a far bigger worry, with Boly out they are easy meat. They are very close to being dragged in to a relegation dog fight.

15.) 06 Apr 2021 11:33:13
What has our best defender Max Kilman ever done wrong? And our second best is now out injured again, probably for the rest of the year and the third best is at Sunderland.
Coady and Saiss have run their time.
Give Fabio and Vitinha more playing time
And Traore? Someone please bloody sign him. at this rate we won't even recoup what we paid for him.

16.) 07 Apr 2021 12:31:15
If we do sell Traore he improves a lot if he moves on., IMO it wouldn't just be down to the player's motivation. I agree with the Kilman comment. He has hardly put a foot wrong when he's played so why not recall him? It seems bizarre that they recalled Gibbs White to fill in the mid field and not Kilman for the defence. There seems to be a depressing atmosphere in the team at the moment. May be because of the league position, may be not. Much as I love Nuno, I wonder if he's up to the job?

I am dreading the transfer window. Comments of "In Nuno we trust" are not going to console me if several of our best players are sold and are replaced by promising youngsters.

We were told that players sold will be replaced by a better players. It is debatable whether that has been the case or not.

17.) 08 Apr 2021 17:40:42
Don't be so hard on yourself, Rated RKO.

18.) 08 Apr 2021 17:38:41
Ed. Why do other teams' players continually trip Adama if he is bang average and gets no goals or assists?
Do they like picking up yellow cards for nothing?

{Ed077's Note - because he is fast and tricky. There's always a chance he has a good game and performs well, like he did against Man City last season. Are you really happy with how he plays most weeks when you know how treating he can be when he plays to his best and actually produces something (end product ).

why did Laga take traore off? cost us a point.

albrightonwolf

1.) 05 Dec 2021 12:53:35
Explain, I'd love to know how?

2.) 05 Dec 2021 14:47:27
At the time before adama taken off he was holding Liverpool defenders higher up the pitch and occupying their concentration. Trincao wasn't going to present the same problems as traore and Liverpool could move further to us. It's all hypothetical, hoever could have passed wide left, was hoever fouled, why didn't hoever track Salah and so on. It was a sad chain of events and Liverpool kept belief and got their rewards. Ifs and buts, had traore stayed on would pools defence been in position to get it forward to salah? We lost it hurts but that's the game. Ask Bruno what his thoughts were.

3.) 05 Dec 2021 15:35:50
Abbey agreed tbh I didn't see the point in the substitution other than to use up time but as Trincao didn't touch the ball it made no difference so it didn't cost us a point. That is all I meant. As I've already said on other threads we were so unlucky to lose Rayan with 2 minutes left ultimately that is what probably caused it because Hoever never got to the pace of the game. Hardly surprising tbh and such a shame. The performance and spirit yesterday was excellent.

4.) 05 Dec 2021 18:25:18
Agree 100% Ken68.

5.) 05 Dec 2021 18:33:38
According to Barcelona News Traore is pushing for a move to Real Madrid in the summer.

Can't see him wanting to go to Newcastle and I can't see Liverpool paying £30M for him either. Time will tell.

29 may 2021 18:44:05
rated rko i am not a mr and i do not drink i stick to what i said wolves now want players on the cheap we will never go to the next level unless wolves spend money instead of selling our best players that is what nuno wanted to do now the tickets have gone up and mendis will pick the new coach and i expect mr shi will bring in some kind of players.

1.) 29 May 2021 22:15:20
Let's sell Jimenez, now Jose's gone, let's buy, Ivan Toney, and Daryl dike, and take Carlos vinicius as part of vinagre deal,
Surely that lot can score enough goals for us 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

2.) 30 May 2021 11:55:09
The next level a lot of fans think we should be going too is a million miles away, top six has become top four, squads full of fifty million pound plus players and with better quality players out on loan than the rest of us have in our teams, can’t really see many other Clubs investing heavily when realistically the best they can hope for is scraping into the Europa League, for sixteen Clubs mid - table is success.

3.) 31 May 2021 17:00:20
The record for the 2nd half of games the season before the one just ended showed that we can be a top 4 team with the right coach. If Nuno had motivated the team to play the whole game, we might have been in the Champions League instead of outside of the European League.

27 may 2021 10:10:07
why can't we have a english manger and some players?
frank lampard would do a good job.

albrightonwolf

1.) 27 May 2021 11:43:46
I'm not being a smart ar$e here, but why was he sacked at Chelsea? he was financially backed also, a luxury he wouldn't get at Wolves given Jeff Shi's recent comments on transfers "The word we’re going to talk about a lot is being creative, so maybe swaps, maybe loans, which we’ve done very well in the past, loans with obligations. "

2.) 27 May 2021 16:15:43
Why does it matter?! I honestly couldn't care less where our next manager comes from as long as he's good! Do you think the City owners are worried that Peps not English?! I also ask again where people are getting this opinion of Lampard from?! So far he's had been given (and it was given not earnt) two VERY appealing roles for the average manager and he's failed at both of them! He's achieved nothing to date?! He snatched defeat from the jaws of success with a Derby team that should have comfortably won the title! Then he spent a fortune at Chelsea and some how ended up getting worse results than the season before?! In fact I would go as far to say that if this had been a less well known player with Lampards management record (say Alex Rae) then people would be up in arms with him just being tied to the job!
I'm not sure why peeps are convinced that Frank's already a top level manager when all the previous evidence suggests he still needs to learn his trade?!

3.) 27 May 2021 17:53:53
Bully, I think Frank could do a good job to be honest, Chelsea came too soon for him, Wolves job would be ideal for him, I wouldn't say no to him.

4.) 27 May 2021 18:19:39
But why Sydney? If the Chelsea job came to soon whys he suddenly ready for an equally large challenge (arguably bigger with our current lack of balance and defenders) despite having not had any extra experience since that job?! Either he's up to it or he ain't and so far he ain't been! I would also point out that his previous teams have had the luxury of operating at the top end of the league, easy to play attacking open football when that's tbe case! Do you really think he's worth the risk when the stakes are as high as they are for us this season? I think he'd be a relegation battle waiting to happen to be honest!

5.) 27 May 2021 19:40:05
Well I would, I'd sooner AV Frank Bruno, 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Rafa for me, 👍👍👍.

6.) 27 May 2021 19:59:18
Grey- as I said before I don't especially like him or his football for that matter (his whole approach is percentage stats driven) . However even I can't argue that the man does have pedigree! And more importantly I think would also go a LONG way to guaranteeing safety! Can't see it to be honest as I suspect he'd still expect bigger budgets (his wages and players wages) . Have to admit though Grey whilst I might not like Rafa (mostly his brand of footy) I would feel a LOT safer with him over half these others mentioned. 🐺.

7.) 27 May 2021 20:37:28
Point taken mate 👍
I don't think at this point we need a Gerard or lampard, maybe a few years down line, but whoever comes in, their going to expect funds to establish their mark on the club,
How many new players do you think we need, given the fact that we keep most first teamers?

8.) 27 May 2021 21:30:52
I agree on lampard, too much of a risk, benitez is a no from me, he is a man of the past for me.
Galtier, who's just left Lille would be my choice, I think he could make a bit of a difference with the squad we already have.
With a couple of additional signings we could expect to challenge the big six with him in charge.
Just my opinion.

9.) 27 May 2021 23:53:19
Actually think your right on Galtier as well Big for what it's worth, definitely a class manager. Sadly the Ed has already said (usually correctly:) that he sees himself at a bigger club (Euro quals at least) sadly. definitely think your right otherwise, this is the tricky line we currently have to walk. Fingers crossed cause I'd love us to get him 🤞.

10.) 28 May 2021 08:35:48
Greyleg - I have said before if everyone is fit we only need a couple of first 11 additions CB and CM plus 2 or 3 additional squad members for cover and options. BUT if the injured player aren't fit and clearly they aren't and in some case won't be for some time if ever, then we may need to add 2 or 3 more first team players.
I strongly suspect that this is not possible within the transfer budget and FFP so we will need to be creative - vets on frees, loans or players who can cover more than one place OR even as Nuno always said "from within the squad". Maybe for example Sanderson or Owen can be the squad player we need or MGW can be the first 11 CM (optimistic perhaps but the devil drives)
How many do you think we need?

11.) 28 May 2021 10:27:11
Bullys I think Chelsea is much bigger job that Wolves, they pretty much have to make top 4 each year or your sacked, Wolves are not at that level just yet, everyone was saying Rodgers was rubbish and not suited to Wolves etc, for me Rafas ego is too big, yes he has some good accolades to his bow, bit personally he doesn't get my vote, lad from Lille has done a great job, bit as someone said his eyes are on a bigger job, there's a lot of movement in the management game at minute, and its 50/ 50 that we succeed in getting someone in the move us forward, the biggest issue is us fans on whether they give the manager time, as Nunon was a big part of our club and the change is going to take time to bed in.
Whoever comes in there will be those who are unhappy, for me as a personal choice, Lampard, Conceisou, are my top 2. The rest fall into the same bracket of they could. do a job and wouldn't complain.

12.) 28 May 2021 11:22:45
Hopefully, a CB, aggressive midfielder, striker, if Patricio goes maybe keeper,

19 Dec 2020 07:30:27
well done wolves i'm so proud of all of you.

albrightonwolf

09 Jul 2020 23:11:13
we need a goal scorer fast.

albrightonwolf

1.) 10 Jul 2020 05:10:29
Why not just move the ball quickly in a forwards direction from the kick off and create goal scoring opportunities with the players all the top clubs are interested in signing?

2.) 10 Jul 2020 12:38:13
Danny Ings must be a strong contender. 19 goals in a poor S'ton team.
