Just seen in the E&S that once again an independent panel has ruled that the ref and VAR officials were both incorrect over the penalty decision against Sheffield last week. Two weeks back to back now. What compensation will we get as a club IF we got relegated, or let's say finish 3-4 places lower than we should be. These are both significant amounts of money and will affect calibre of future signings.
Apologies are simply not good enough.
I don't want to think about corruption, because if I did I wouldn't go anymore. I simply have to believe that the officials aren't up to the task and hopefully it'll even itself out over the course of a season.

This happened so late in the game that the goal should be wiped from history and Wolves awarded a point.
We would be near Europa League points without all of these errors.
I think the fans should leave the stadium if this happens again. No point in the team doing something to get themselves in trouble but what can the league do if 20, 000 fans leave after a bad call?

The Clear and obvious rule can be interpreted in many ways.
It can mean that even if it is an error, if it isn't blatantly obvious from the referee's point of view, no change is made.
Or it can mean if it is an error and the ref mis-saw what happened (thought contact was made when it wasn't) then it could cause the VAR people to override the rule because when looking at it in slowmotion, it is obvious and clear.
What's the point in looking at it multiple times from multiple angles if the second approach is not taken?

Two decisions were looked at. The Arsenal goal which they found was the correct decision and the penalty which went against us which was found to be the incorrect decision.

Which one do you think made the headlines? That's right, the Arsenal one.

Come Saturday the headlines will be:

Wolves beat severely depleted Spurs (if we win)

Plucky Spurs gain heroic draw with depleted squad

Threadbare Spurs win proving that they are fantastic (if they win)

So the entire piece by BBC is about the fact that VAR made a correct decision. Why is this headline news? Have I missed something.

Also, I wonder if Artera will be so vocal now that the panel said that Havertz should have been sent off.

I thought exactly the same Jas. They didn’t even mentioned how we got screwed over for the second week. Absolute crickets. Such poor journalism.
