The problem is pretty obvious, we were recruiting good players and had a good Head Coach then Shii was either told or decided to do most of the jobs himself, it’s all fell apart, the mess created is internal, the players, the Head Coach and his staff are the scapegoats.

The people left to progress their careers. But your right, they weren't adequately replaced.

There could well be something in what you say Ron.
This transfer window will clarify things for me as the constraints of ffp and hopefully Shanghai will give us a true picture of their capabilities.

100% agree, the downward spiral started when Darymple and Thelwell went

The problem was Shi saw Dalrymple and Thelwell move on and decided he would do the job, even though his football background was virtually none excistent. The talk is they will sell Neves to raise money, replacing him with a someone better will cost a king's ransom. They said Trincao was on a par with Neves, we all know where that went.
