After a recent discussion on here about Wolves and teams like us not getting the column inches that the Media favourites get. interesting that Connor Coady pops up as a pundit on MOTD2. As a current player in the Prem I think his comments were appreciated by most as a change from the ill researched rubbish from the usual former journeyman players turned experts. But then, shock horror, they did a mini piece on Wolves at the end and publicised the Jimenez documentary on iplayer.
Funny old game innit.

I was going to say something similar longmyndwolf, a good bit of publicity and getting the wolves name out there in a positive fashion. I also looked up revenues and it seems we’ve made the list of top 30 revenue earners in Europe for the last 2 seasons, to me that shows fosun are doing an ok job at increasing the brand which should help us spend more. But tbh I’m no expert in that field.

That's good to hear Goatmark1 because I've even contacted the club to try to research how well the various Wolves related business ventures are progressing, with no success. Fosun keep everything very close to their chest, not just transfers.
Having said that about the pundits I do rate Jermaine Jenas as he seems both knowledgeable and unbiased, was a good player too.

I wasn't aware of coady on mod2 but of course to publicise the raul doc it makes sense. I havnt seen the doc but I'm told it's quite a moving reflection. Coady as a pundit reminded me of the Doog attempting it for itv I think during I assume one of the 70s world cups, it was sort of before Saint and greaves and he was sort of out of his depth. If I remember right his choice of suits were more exciting. Anyone else old enough to recall it?

Abbey his suits were louder than the commentary from memory!

Abbey I think that era 70 to 74 was the beginning of the expert panel controversies that have led to the profusion of ex players in the broadcast media. I suspect in rhe early days high profile personalities were selected to deliberately generate controversy. Brian Clough telling Kevin Keegan he didn't know what he was talking about and Keegan storming off being a memorable moment.

You can catch both on BBC iplayer Abbey. I think the Doog screwed up far more than punditry in his post playing days, wasn't he involved in a certain period of disastrous ownership of the club?
Coady does seem to get more TV exposure than most at the club, hopefully even more, if he becomes England's full time captain. Now that would be good PR for the Wolves as the media would have to respond accordingly.

Correct on many counts longmynd, Coady fits the bill perfectly for media work, personality, confidence, enthusiasm willing to support minority issues and no disrespect meant but as a first language speaker obviously has a better use of English than many of the squad. He's almost another Emlyn Hughes in many ways.

Their Wolves love affair was short lived it's back to being about Man Utd now

Thanks longmndwolf, seeing nuno still emotionally hit by rauls injury and really taking in the seriousness of the impact was spine tingling. It makes me realise the strength and character of the club and more obviously of raul to return to premier action. What a player, what a man. And how grateful I am to have such a player in a old gold shirt.
