So the summer transfer window was a failure or even amateurish according to most posts I’ve read on here, we signed chan who is in the top 10 goal scorers so far this season (I know it’s early), any other new signings without premier experience in the top 20? Trincao looks good to me and will be ready as an Adama replacement come January, I believe Sa is an improvement on patricio and from what I’ve seen I think Mosquera would have played a big part if not for his injuries. Don’t get me wrong I realise things aren’t prefect but I’m still confident fosun and Jeff are doing a good job, some of the players they have found have been amazing for us. To continually criticise their methods is baffling to me, look at Leicester’s start, yet they spent a lot more than us even signing an established cb which I’m sure we all would have liked. Or Burnley who were bought out last year so you’d expect them to invest but how’s that going for them? Also it’s contentious I know but mgw going on loan was a good choice IMO, he’s doing well and wouldn’t get much game time with us so win win.

Don't disagree Goat, I think from a fans perspective the Management team may look a bit weaker than previously under Fosun, but there's a lot going on with the club that we are not privy to until announced.
When players are 'linked' to a club in a transfer window some seem to think that the club is actively chasing that player and when it doesn't happen have a bit of a strop. In fact many of those 'links' are just media generated 'clickbait'.
There are many reasons beyond the clubs control why even a genuine prospective transfer falls over but at least they are trying.
Having said that I would like to hear more about ground improvements.

Agreed Longmyndwolf the lack of ground development is disappointing, but I wouldn’t want to pay current prices for building materials. So I can see why fosun might have put it on hold.

That's a fact Goat, got my extension done last year, luckily. There is one transfer related issue that does need addressing and that's Traore. Personally, I'm finding the will he sign, won't he sign saga is dragging on too much now.
Every club he's played for has sold him saying the same thing, fun to watch, but no end product. It seems that Spain have probably reached the same conclusion.

Team building comes well before stadium building. Steve Morgan got that wrong, to his cost. Mind you, he still got a great return on his ten quid investment.

Premier League Clubs need both a team and a stadium, other manage to build new grounds and or new stands or add extra tiers to existing stands, Wolves drew up plans in the 1950’s to build a 50,000 all seater stadium, along with all the other subsequent artists impressions of new designs, images are available online, over sixty years later and a succession of owners who’ve promised to deliver and fallen short, we have a mid- table team, four detached stands built by three different owners and a stadium at least twenty thousand short is necessity, if Fosun have any ambition it’s time to show it.

I think that's what disappoints me Ron. I get the C.V. effect, interest rates, building material costs, etc, but as you say others are getting on with it. How will we ever grow to be a big successful club with a 30K stadium.
There's no right time to do this as all the ducks will never fully line up. I get the impression they are trying to make it too dependent on an integrated approach between the Club, the University and the Council but will that ever happen? There definitely is a need for a 45-50K stadium, a decent hotel and improved parking, all of which would bring increased revenues/ status to the club. Plus if it was done right the stadium could attract other uses on non match days, concerts, etc.

Oxley, I get where you are coming from regarding the stadium and yes I agree that it needs developing but 20 years ago our average attendance was 22000 so the redevelopment was fine for its time. I've been going since 1989 and up until we won promotion I could always get a ticket. Since promotion I can't. I can't justify a season ticket as I only get 7 weekends off a year.
