Don’t know what the general feelings are but with Nuno leaving and Bruno being announced relatively quickly I would have expected the transfer sagas to be coming to a head now?
With the season starting on 14th August it’s not a long time to bring in and settle new players into a new club with a new coach.
Or is it just me being impatient!

Next two weeks will be busy I think with players coming of breaks they got after international duty.

It's you being impatient ref. Like 2020, this is not a normal summer. We've had the delayed Euros; some of our players were involved and are not yet ready to join preseason. C.V. is crippling for international travel. Bruno needs time to get to know his players, and it seems there are some he has yet to meet. The real transfer business will be done between 14th and 31st August.

Deep - you are correct about it being an unusual summer but there are real points to be won or lost during August.
Not getting players in before the end of August will make it harder to win those early points and indeed the points available in early Sep as well!
I've read regularly that people think we will lose our first 3 games and that it is ok and doesn't matter?
It does those point are no less valauble than any others and teams that start badly often struggle to turn it around as opponents smell blood in the water and set up differently against you looking to win rather than perhaps just hope for a draw.
It just makes it harder and we don't need that whilst we are trying to bed in a new system as well as new players.
So let's do it the easy way and sensible way, get off our seats and work hard to get our business done early, so that we are ready to play and if others aren't so much the better!

I've predicted 3 defeats tfig. Bearing in mind transfers time to learn expectations etc. And your right all points should be counted and the best start possible for confidence etc, but if we're realistic, we'd take anything against Leicester man u and spurs at any stage of the season. If we were starting with Brentford Norwich Southampton then the need for victories would be seen as a must. I'm not going to panic and scream bruno out I seriously think (with the right players whoever they turn out to be) he'll get us playing good attacking and defensively covering football. I hope I'm right but havnt we known disappointment before? .

Over the last 3 years, including last years disappointing one when we only got 2 points from the 6 games, we have had a good record against these sides, particularly against Spurs, getting I think 19 points in 3 years. However the v poor 2 last year means that we actually got 17 in the previous 2 years from 12 games. This is actually in line with our season averages in those years.
So maybe it is a sign of our lower expectations or just realism of where we are now.
However I take your point re Brentford Norwich and Southampton and can only join you in hoping Lage can get us playing good and succesful stuff in the near future.

We'll all be smiling in the not too decent future I've got a gut feeling.
Things may look bleak at times as we're not the finished article and may not get over every hurdle but the bad times I truly believe will be far fewer than the good times.
Everyone can dream of success it's not a bad thing just as its not a bad thing to be cautious and apprehensive.
