Bruno Lage supposedly close to being agreed.

Paulo Fonseca and Sergio Coicencao have said to have turned us down.

I would have personally preferred Fonseca if this all turns out to be true.

Not sure Lage has the pedrigree. albeit much more attacking style of football.

Whoever we appoint willbe to get un and get started straight away, it's going to be a busy pre season, If it is Lage he will get my 100% backing, the proof will be in the pudding come next season.
Still gutted with Nuno leaving, but as he said in his interview, he has laid some good foundations.

Well. Looks like we will be singing
Bruno, instead of Nuno,
Not a lot of difference, 😄😄.

I accept I will be accused for not getting behind the man before he has even started, but my train of thought of the potential appointment of Lage would be one of deep disappointment. It would, for me, demonstrate a lack of ambition alongside a lack of spending power. I would have thought that the one aspect of Nuno's legacy would have made Wolves an attractive club to manage with some robust applications. Doesn't make sense that Lampard can be courted by Albion and not really in the frame for Wolves?

Lage may not be my first choice but he makes absolute sense compared to Lampard! Firstly he's actually won something, for anyone shouting Lampard remind me what he has actually achieved?! Other than bottling the Champ with the best team in it (at the time) and then spending a fortune on players at Chelsea, few of which he could get the best out of? He was up for the Brom job cause he's still a Champ level manager, simple as that!

I would prefer a manager with prem experience. Eddie Howe or Benitez would top my list. Lamoard too inexperienced. Another Portugal manager is not the way to go.

Eddie Howe has experience in spending a decent chunk of money and never actually building a Prem standard defence (or team for that matter) . Howe still hasn't learnt how to defend at the highest level and Benitez has lots of experience in playing the worst football in the League! Prem experience is fine if its good, if we appointed Eddie Howe we will be down by Xmas! Benitez in fairness does come with pedigree and I can't argue that but it can't just be me that finds his football dull as dish water?!
If I had to choose a current domestic manager it would be Graham Potter. He's worked miracles with an average Brighton team and I think he would fly with a better squad. It seems an irrelevant debate though if honest as a pre-requisit for Fosun still seems to be Portuguese 👍.
