I can't believe what i'm reading one or two slating Silva!
Give the lad a chance he is only 18 moved to a new country, playing in a tougher league, his first proper run out in the Premier league, he will come good for us.

Silva came on in difficult circumstances against Arsenal and played well. The team scored twice in the 1st half, Arsenal were chasing the game so Nuno threw on an extra defender (there's no point playing attacking football if the opponent permanently has the ball), we won, go 6th in the table 4 points off the lead and still some are questioning Nuno.

Jas I don't read the rubbish posts, as soon as I see which way it's going I just miss it out. What's the point of sticking the knife in, he's just kid who played really well. He's going to have to share the job until Raul gets back, so they better get used to him.

Could do worse than give Leigh Griffiths his last chance to make the big time, still only 30.

No thanks Oxley, he burnt his bridges would rather we recalled Cutrone.

It shows the faith Nuno and his team have in Silva to throw him in the deep end against arsenal.
There are ready established strikers who are signed for big big money and are fazed by the pressure of the price tag.
Silva only 18 years old held is own.

My biggest concern regarding Raul is the mental health aspect. Ryan Mason retired and Petr Cech wore a helmet. Will he be committed to attack crosses again?

Hi Phil, No problem with Fabio Silva hopefully he will come on leaps and bounds.

Jas yes we are 4 points off top, BUT 2 silly draws, and we would have been TOP.
You cannot defend a 1 goal for 20/ 30 mins as we have seen how many times have given a last minute goal, I am not moaning We have to be more positive when we get in front.

Hi Yellowstone yeah I think with a £35 million price tag it must be a lot of pressure on his young shoulders.
When the details of Jimenez fractured skull is revealed then we will see what the club will do.
Head injuries for his mental health as you say ragingbull is of concern.
I get also the concern of defending a 1 goal lead but I think it's more of a catch 22.
A few of late goals conceded have been from set pieces eg Newcastle free kick.
I think the team will be really inspired to get wins for Raul whilst he recovers.
Not sure about Griffiths Oxley his temperament is the issue I see with him. Griffiths does know where the back of the net is but could he do it in the premier league.

Not Griffiths he isn't a Nuno type of player anyway and top 6 is above his standard he didn't like it here last time anyway

Cutrone could yet return but not if he's only going to get homesick again.

Griffiths! I agree with Cutrone, if he wants to return to the premier league that is, it might also give the club a chance to recoup some nore of his transfer value if he succeeded. Looking at the new transfer rules it may be difficult to sign a potential Neves or Jota again so we seem to be looking at experience or expensive home grown but unproven players, once again rules that seem loaded towards the bigger clubs!

Giroud on loan until the end of the season. Ticks every box. Needs to play to get in the French Euro squad. I don't see a downside. Unless Chelsea won't let him go which would not surprise me one bit.

{Ed002's Note - If Giroud wants to go in January then Chelsea would not stand in his way. He won't be moving to Wolves and certainly not on loan.}

Ed002 I'm well aware it won't happen. I just happened to be on my wish list. We can dream can't we! To be fair most of my dreams are not football related!

{Ed002's Note - Men with beards?}

Ed002 Not quite! I see he blew it last night in my opinion. Clearly not good enough for us! Ha ha. 😁.
