Can't see Tammy Abraham's joining unless Chelsea have change heart -they been allegedly said that he not for sale and won't use his recall clause (jan14) to bring him back from villa also there's the issue of how many clubs he has/ hasn't play games for that fa are said be looking into -if he doesn't sign we may still go for him in summer but think his £ would be more if carriers on in form he currently in.

In spite of everything Nuno is reportedly confident Tammy Abraham will sign on loan this month. My wildest guess is that Chelsea will insert an option to buy in the summer at some huge price, when he joins us on loan after 14th January. The recall clause is for that date.

Someone suggested that he could be signed but not come to Wolves until the summer, if there are issues like that.

abraham cannot sign for another club without special permission from fifa fact!

Timmy if that happened any other club would face the same restriction of not being able to play for 3 clubs. Therefore he would have to sit the rest of the season not playing unless he stayed with Villa on loan.

There is no issue with him amount clubs or games -fosun will have gone over the fine print with a fine tooth comb they will have some best lawyers £ can buy -it’s down to player-hense asking not play for villa in cup as wants weigh up his options -imo I think Chelsea should let him join us on loan with fixed price at end of season if we going buy him.

Billywrightslippers it's a fact that the community shield and u23 games don't count.

Do you actually think that wolves haven't already looked into this.

The U23's count as a FIFA sanctioned competition. This is the anomaly that may scupper the deal as FIFA prevented Hatem Ben Arfa from playing after playing in the same comp. It's up to FIFA to make a decision and give dispensation.

jas m is correct fifa make the decision not the fa fosun may have lots of money but not enough to get around this one to be honest I would wait until summer before spending anything current squad good enough to survive then weigh up our options.

If reports are correct, Fosun have obtained clearance from FIFA.

Abraham played for Chelsea in the Community Shield and their Premier League 2 side before switching to Aston Villa. However Fifa don't deem Villa matches to be competitive games so the England international is eligible to go to Molineux.

As an example - Liam Walsh joined Birmingham City on loan from Everton in August 2017 and made three appearances before returning to his parent club in November.
Prior to the January transfer window opening Walsh continued to play for Everton’s U23s in a bid to keep match fit and racked up five appearances before signing for Bristol City permanently.
Across the 2017/ 18 season Walsh played 16 times for Everton U23s, Birmingham and Bristol City.

On that premise Wolves are confident FIFA will give the deal the green light should Chelsea accept their offer.
