Heard a rumour we are set to make a big summer bid for Max Aarons. Norwich RWB on a Norwich site saying he has been watched by our scouts.

Competition for Doc. Having Vinagre the comp for Jonny. After the last few games it's easy to see the squad doesn't need much change at all! Striker to back Raul up I'd say.

Fair play on that one. The young lad did look good.

Another midfielder linked as well today Dominik Szoboszlai from Salzburg. that lad looked world class when I saw him. More of an attacking mid. With respect a massive upgrade on MGW. then again is it a position we need desperately.

That lad from Rochdale is Luke Matheson and he does look class but he is also only 17. With the number of games expected from our small squad we need another fb with experience when we are looking to be increasingly consistent in getting into Euro quals.

I do like Max Aaron's, who also has the added benefit of being comfortable playing on either flank. Personally I think he's found the step up difficult when I've seen him this season. Add to this that they will want a small fortune (just cause he's homegrown) and I reckon this one is unlikely to happen for me. Mind you the flip side of playing regularly in Europe is that we do need more homegrown talent (due to the 8 home grown quota) so who knows? 🧐.

Not a rumour but an option worth considering. Angel Gomes, 19 years old, Anglo-Portuguese, likely to be free transfer from Manchester United. Somebody has obviously tapped him up, as he doesn’t look as though he is going to sign the contract on offer. Unlike other youngsters in similar positions, there are no teams being mentioned. Under the radar is the way we do most of our business!

I'm thinking maybe his options at Utd. are limited so he's looking to emulate other younger players who are getting opportunities in Germany etc.

Saying Chelsea are in for him. not seeing that as a good move either. Does he even make their bench.

Bit small and we don't play with a number 10. He definitely has a lot of talent. Type of player Nuno could mould into something special.

But definitely better out there. That Oscar Rodriguez for one. Linked with again. Real Madrid loanee.
